Dear GPC family, a blessed day to all of you!
If you are using GPC's One Thing devotional booklet, do note that the devotions from 3 - 9 Jun (preparation for 1 Jun sermon "Redeeming a Disciple's Singleness") should be done before the devotions on 27 May - 2 Jun (preparation for 8 Jun sermon "Redeeming a Disciple's Marriage").
This is due to a prior change in the sermon roster that was not reflected in the One Thing devotional booklet.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused! God bless.

CG MONTH WEEK 2 - Commitment really matters!
Commitment really matters! Itās not just a ānice-to-haveā for our Care Groupsāitās what makes real community possible. Think about it: in a family, love does not deepen because everything is perfect. Love deepens because family members stay, show up, and carry one anotherās burdensāthrough joy, struggle, and every messy moment in between. Itās the same with our spiritual family.
The Bible says in Galatians 6:2: āBear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.ā You cannot carry someoneās burden if you are not there. You cannot celebrate someoneās breakthrough if you are not there to witness their journey. Commitment costs something. It costs time. It costs comfort. It costs flexibility.
But what you gain is pricelessā
⢠A community that is real.
⢠Relationships that are deep.
⢠Faith that is alive.
⢠A love that reflects Jesus.
Faith grows best when we grow togetherābut only when we commit.

CG Month Special 1: A Call to Recommit
After the pandemic, many of our CGs have faced a new and unexpected challenge: how to recommit. Once, CG was not just another appointmentāit was something that grounded us spiritually every week.
Now, for many, CG attendance feels more casual. Priorities have shifted. Schedules have gotten busier. And sometimes, without meaning to, CG gets quietly replaced by āsomething more urgentā.
This May, as we begin CG Month, we invite you to reset. To see CG again as a vital part of following Jesusānot just for you, but for the brother or sister who needs your presence, encouragement, and faith alongside them. When we gather, God does something more than what we can do alone.
We donāt just fill time. We build lives togetherālives rooted in Christ, stretched by love, and strengthened for mission.
Letās rebuild together. Letās recommit. Letās believe that God can breathe fresh life into our CGs again.

"WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" with Pastor Forest
Weāve seen what the Kingdom of Heaven is, and how it operates differently from the world. But Jesus makes it clear: understanding the Kingdom is not enough. The Kingdom is offered freelyābut it demands a real, personal response.
Jesus told this story:
āThe kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it... in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.ā (Matthew 13:44)
What does the Kingdom mean to you? Something worth rearranging your life forāor just a nice idea?

"WHAT IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" with Pastor Forest
Living the Sermon, Not Just Hearing It
Weāve been journeying through the Sermon on the Mount. Youāve heard phrases like: āBlessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.ā(5:10)
āNot everyone who says to me, āLord, Lord,ā will enter the kingdom of heavenā (7:21) But what does it really mean to live as part of the Kingdom of Heaven?
In this 4-part video series, weāll unpack the main theme of the Gospel of Matthew--The Kingdom of Heaven. Not as theory, but as a calling to live differently⦠with purpose⦠and on mission as Jesusā missional disciples.
Itās time to stop waiting for heaven⦠and start living it right now.
