HORRIFYING: ANOTHER MOTHER accused of k*lling her child just had her prosecution paused for a competency evaluation. Two months before Shanna Kay Whitton's 15-month-old son Matthew died, a therapist reportedly warned Kansas child welfare officials that he might not be safe with his mother and raised concerns about possible medical child abuse. First Matthew had already nearly drowned, then investigators say a fire was intentionally set in his BEDROOM. A month later, Whitton claimed Matthew choked on a meatball. His autopsy found NO food in his airway and concluded he d*ed from an INTENTIONALLY afflicted asphyxial event. And Matthew wasn't Whitton's first child to d*e. His 2-year-old sister had d*ed the year before in a choking incident that was ruled accidental and is now being reviewed again.
