Okay one last message here so I don't spam this too much - and I'll delete this after I get a reply - but can someone black get in touch with me and look over if the black-type hair I'm putting on this guy look alright? I know a lot of artists struggle to get the texture across well and as someone whiter than a polar bear in a snowstorm, I am possibly one of them >_>
And yes I will try to sell this design because the idea of earning money by drawing something inspired by actual scammers is very, very funny to me
Started this semi-inspired by the many many Nigerian scammers of wide scam variety that seem to target the furry community lately. They tend to either steal art, or use AI generated fursonas, and it's such a bummer; imagine if we had actual Nigerian furries bringing in native Nigerian species as fursonas. We should have had sparkle-caiman fursonas instead of scammers, dammit π
So here I started to look up species native to the Lagos region, and I really liked the colors and markings of the Mona monkeys (Cercopithecus mona) so I started designing this guy. Put entirely too much effort into surface level research for what is basically a joke drawing, but that's how we do things here, abi?
