"What does "good luck" look like and how do you achieve it? Lucky symbols, lucky numbers, lucky charms and luck-creating rituals—how is it that a disciplined and hard-working country like Japan is so invested in the idea of luck? And what, exactly, does "good luck" mean? This insightful book—by a leading expert on the subject—explores the ways in which "good luck" symbols and rituals in Japan are used in tandem with diligence and a positive attitude to help people overcome life's many twists, turns and bad patches. It explores how customs and beliefs play a vital role in creating positive expectations and outcomes—and includes practical exercises for bringing good fortune and happiness into your own life. Author Nobuo Suzuki acquaints us with beloved Japanese icons of luck, prosperity, and goal-setting and explains what they truly represent—including Maneki Neko (the "Lucky Cat"), Daruma (the "Lucky Buddha") and the Seven Lucky Gods of Good Fortune. We even meet some quirky and much beloved modern Japanese symbols of luck like the "Golden Poop" (yes, you read that right!). And we learn how these symbols all foster a sense of community which contributes to the happiness and well-being of all individuals in Japan. With this book, luck becomes a matter of self-understanding and connection to others rather than something that exists outside of ourselves and other people. It is an integral part of life and learning to shape out a destiny for ourselves that we can view with pride and contentment." @SpiritualLibrary

🕵️🐷🕵️ zero-day🕵️🐷🕵️ "What is the relationship between consciousness and our brain? Are they one and the same? Who are we really? The Consciousness Network presents a novel account of one of the greatest scientific challenges of the twenty-first century: understanding the connection between brain and mind. The book explores remarkable cases of patients who demonstrate how our impression of reality is created by the brain. Age-old questions about dreams, colour perception, phantom sensations and hallucinations are illuminated by surprising discoveries from the latest brain research. How does consciousness differ from memory, emotions and behaviour? How did it develop during the evolution of life on earth, and does it serve a purpose? Does the brain leave room for free will? In this unique blend of philosophy, history, psychology and neuroscience, Cyriel Pennartz breaks new ground by presenting an original theory of brain and mind, substantiated by brain research in patients and healthy people. This theory, inspired by the seventeenth-century philosopher Spinoza, goes significantly deeper than current thinking based on computer models or artificial intelligence. The Consciousness Network is essential reading for students working at the interface of neuroscience, cognitive psychology, philosophy of mind and cognitive science, as well as anyone interested in consciousness and the brain." @SpiritualLibrary

"Once the seer, the priestess and the sage were revered by their community. Their roles were considered sacred — the practising of an art, requiring training and experience like any other art. All these individuals tuned into their "psycho-spiritual" powers on our behalf. But each of us has always had the ability to draw upon these powers directly, inside ourselves. This book shows us not only how to exploit our psycho-spiritual potential, it also shows us how to navigate the different realms of inner experience that are our birthright. Psycho-spiritual powers can take time and expertise to discern, especially for the novice. How do we know what we are dealing with? Does the "information" made available to us derive from the subtle energies around the body or does it come from some discarnate being? Or perhaps from an alter ego, the personification of hopes and fears from aspects of our projected selves? This book is drawn from research and first-hand experience from thousands of consultations and teaching sessions over many years. In addition, the author, at the end of each chapter, uses anecdotes to illustrate and enlighten the reader, and these are sometimes humorous, sometimes sad, sometimes philosophical, and always true. Well-implemented psychic and intuitive guidance can help to move the individual towards wholeness — a new dawn based on working with the heart and the energy of unconditional love. This in turn radiates out to affect the whole of our society. Psycho-spiritual powers enlarge our lives beyond measure." @SpiritualLibrary

"Most scholars of Judaism take the term "Jewish mysticism" for granted, and do not engage in a critical discussion of the essentialist perceptions that underlie it. Mystifying Kabbalah studies the evolution of the concept of Jewish mysticism. It examines the major developments in the academic study of Jewish mysticism and its impact on modern Kabbalistic movements in the contexts of Jewish nationalism and New Age spirituality. Boaz Huss argues that Jewish mysticism is a modern discursive construct and that the identification of Kabbalah and Hasidism as forms of mysticism, which appeared for the first time in the nineteenth century and has become prevalent since the early twentieth, shaped the way in which Kabbalah and Hasidism are perceived and studied today. The notion of Jewish mysticism was established when western scholars accepted the modern idea that mysticism is a universal religious phenomenon of a direct experience of a divine or transcendent reality and applied it to Kabbalah and Hasidism. "Jewish mysticism" gradually became the defining category in the modern academic research of these topics. This book clarifies the historical, cultural, and political contexts that led to the identification of Kabbalah and Hasidism as Jewish mysticism, exposing the underlying ideological and theological presuppositions and revealing the impact of this "mystification" on contemporary forms of Kabbalah and Hasidism." @SpiritualLibrary

तत्र ज्ञानं स्वतः सिद्ध क्रिया कायाश्रिता सती । परैरप्युपलक्ष्येत तयान्यज्ञानमूह्यते ॥ ५ ॥ 🌺🌺🌺🌺 Translation : Of these two, knowing is self-evident [only to the knowing person]; but doing, when appearing in someone's body, becomes known to others as well, and that gives them a means to infer the existence of knowing in the concerned person. 🌸🌸🌸🌸 Commentary: Only a person himself is aware of his own knowing. No one else can be directly aware of it because it cannot become an object of another person's perception. But one person's doing can also be perceived by another person; the physical form of the doer naturally becomes visible to others. Since such doing is known by others, it can serve as a logical means for the viewer to infer the existence of knowing in the doer, because no doing is possible without first knowing. All sentient beings possess powers to know and to do. God, the ultimate knower and doer, is thus self-evident in each and every being. 🔱🔱🔱🔱🔱 Īśvara pratyabhijñā-kärikā 1.1.5

"Maps of Consciousness: The Classic Text on Exploring the Mind and Expanding Awareness" by Ralph Metzner (2023 edition)
2 1627Loading...
16
"A classic guide to expanding perception and consciousness development • Explores six ancient yet timeless systems for exploring the mind: the I Ching, Tantra, Tarot, astrology, alchemy, and the yoga philosophy of Actualism • Shares exercises from each system and illuminates the key stages in the journey of consciousness development • Shows how each of these disciplines can help you become a fully aware and conscious participant in your own spiritual evolution In this highly acclaimed classic, psychedelic elder Ralph Metzner presents a guide to six ancient systems, once known only to the initiated few, to expand awareness and free your consciousness from exterior limitations and cultural conditioning. Metzner begins with the I Ching, revered by the Chinese as the oldest and wisest book in the world. He explains how it reveals change as the evolutionary constant and offers a hands-on method of divination and guidance. He explores the Hindu and Buddhist Tantras of medieval India, ancient practices celebrating the union of male and female energies that transmute ordinary sense experience into ecstatic ritual worship. He examines the Tarot, revealing how the cards act as culture-transcending mirrors, bringing us through worlds of darkness and light in a complex journey. He looks at the practice of alchemy, explaining how it is a "psychic chemistry" of inner union through which we can transform planetary and cosmic energies. He explores the esoteric aspects of astrology, revealing the rhythmic cycles of the planets and how their phases may be experienced in terms of motion and emotion. He then examines in depth the yoga philosophy of Actualism, centered on the techniques of Agni Yoga, which allow you to use your living "inner fire" to illuminate the shadow parts of consciousness and burn out that which obstructs the free flow of energy. With a new foreword by UC Berkeley professor of neurobiology David E. Presti and featuring all of the original diagrams, this edition of Metzner’s classic text shows how each of these disciplines can help the modern individual become a fully aware and conscious participant in their own spiritual evolution." @SpiritualLibrary

Jiddu Krishnamurti How do you see the person who is sitting on the platform? You not only see visually, but you also see intellectually; you are seeing that person through your memory, through your likes and dislikes, through your various forms of conditioning, and therefore you are not seeing, are you? When you really see something, you see without any of that. Is it not possible to look at a flower without naming it, without giving it a label—just to look at it? And is it not possible when you hear something lovely—not just organized music, but the note of a bird in a forest—to listen to it with all your being? And in the same way, can one not really perceive something? Because, if the mind is capable of actually perceiving, feeling, then there is only experiencing and not the experiencer; then you will find that conflict, with all its miseries, hopes, defenses, and so on, comes to an end. @SpiritualLibrary

Tantracharya. Krishnanda Agamvagish was a great matri sadhaka and was the first one who brought about the puja of maa dakshina kali into lime light he was the one who helped in transforming the image kali into an adorable mother from a ruthless devi in the minds of common folk. He was born in the famous Moitra family of Nabadwip his father Maheshwar gouracharya and brother sahasrakha were hard-core Vaishnavs thus being a shakti Upasaka he have to face many difficulties in his shakti aradhana he belonged to the period of Chaitanya mahaprabhu at around 1575 CE . At that time common people usually remained frightened regarding worship of maa kali because of the intense way of worship used by kapaliks and bamachari tantriks which were not meant for common folk that includes veerachari rituals and other things the main stream of Bengal tantrachara was under their control at that time . Not only this the gaudiya vaisnavism of Chaitanya mahaprabhu was also very strong at that time . Krishnanda Agamvagish appeared as a milestone of Bengal shaktism at that time, after completing his sadhna he read different tantrick texts like " Tara tantra " , " tantra churamani " , " shakti sangam tantra ", yogini tantra " , " shyama rahasya " and other 170 types of tantras then by the conclusions of this texts he composed the " Brihat Tantra sara " which contained the core elements of all this tantras , he cleared fear present in the mind of common people regarding kali puja it was at that time the puja of dakshina kali become more popular among different parts of Bengal. Matri aradhana became a integral part in the life of bengali people in his tantra Sara he provided a separate section for satta karmas like Maran, ucchatan, vashikaran, Mohan etc and restored the main stream of tantra sadhna which leads to the lotus feet of maa mahamaya. In Nabadwip the puja of maa dakshina kali done by him is still continued as Agameshwari kali puja , he also composed a text called tattabodhini he was the guru of sadhak ramprasad the famous poet saint of Bengal. Due to his contribution and way of sadhna showed showed by him many future sadhaks came who followed his way and attained Siddhi many among them were Ramkrishna paramhansa, ramprasad, kamalakanta, bam deva etc gradually the effect of gaudiya vaisnavism came to an end,the amavasya he carried the puja of maa kali is known as dipwannita amavasya which still very famous. . Thus I feel no problem to call krishnanda Agamvagish as tantracharya I offer my utmost respect in his lotus feet.

Sri Lalitha Navarathri. Vasanta Navaratri or Chaitra Navaratri also known as Lalitha Navarathri is celebrated from Chaitra Amavasya for the next 9 nights. This year, it will be celebrated from 9th April 2024 to 18th April 2024. The main purpose of this Navaratri is to welcome the seasonal changes. The beginning of Winter (September-October) and beginning of Summer (April- May) mark important points of climatic and solar influences. Our bodies and minds also come under these influences. Therefore, Agni Purana recommends celebrating at least the Chaitra Navaratri and the Sharad Navaratri. Invoking the boundless compassion and grace of the Goddess Lalithambika confers the required immunity and strength to achieve physical and mental wellness. Though Devi worship is the mainstay of this navaratri, it is also referred to as “Rama Navaratri” since Rama Navami ( Rama’s birthday) falls on the 9th day of this festival. Lord Rama and Hanuman are also worshipped alongwith Shakti. According to the Devi Bhagavata Puran, Prince Sudarshana won against King Yudhajit with Shakti’s help. Therefore, he alongwith his wife and father -in law started worshipping Devi earnestly. The pleased Goddess ordered them to intensify Her worship during Vasanta Navaratri by performing havans and other rituals. Lord Rama and Lakshmana, the descendants of King Sudharsana continued the tradition and recovered Sita with the Goddess’ help. The theme of this Navaratri evokes Bhakti bhava in earnest worshippers. This festival is mainly celebrated in North India and few temples in South India especially temples with Sree Mahameru installed. Special Abhishekams are performed every morning during this period. The deity is decorated in a grand fashion too. Evenings are filled up with Lalitha Sahasranamam archanai and Navavarna pooja, considered to be the most powerful Pooja in Shakta tradition. Kanya Puja and Suhasini poojas are also conducted to worship the Shakti aspect. The Goddess being a lover of arts, music and dance programmes are also part of the celebrations. One can celebrate this Navaratri in their homes, as per their belief and faith. Lalitha Sahasranamam, Soundarya Lahari, Abhirami Andhaadi, Durga Saptashati and various other scriptures and slokas can be chanted. Honouring young girls as “Kanya” and married ladies as ” Suvasini” is quite a popular way of worshipping Shakti during Navaratri. This is a unique festival wherein there are celebrations happening on one hand while intense sadhanas aimed at delving deeper to gain gnana are performed by sadhaks. The vices of the mind can be dissolved during this period through tapas and Devi upasanas.Sincere prayers to Lalithambika during this navaratri blesses one with all the health, wealth, education, overall success and fulfillment of desires. Vasant rithu aka Spring heralds the time of harvest and happiness, not only in nature but also in the minds of people. What a better way to celebrate Spring than by worshiping Goddess Lalitha – the Mother of the Universe!
