"Sir, had one question, how can we improve our execution skill?? I am having really hard time executing my trades. The trades which I take doesn't do well and which I just look at, perform really really well."
Answer -
"Improving execution is a 3-step process -
1) Execute more, without any fear. You can't because you don't trust your risk management or don't wanna except the probability of loss despite putting SL.
Make a target, I have to execute 500 trades in next 1 year which is on an average 2 trades per day. Somedays will have none, somedays will have 4-5. Develop habit of executing.
2) Everytime you execute a trade, ask - how I would have executed it better. How I would have improved my entry a bit more. How I would have improved my exit? Slowly you will grasp it.
And this will be hard earned knowledge with experience, will be price less.
3) 3rd step is to do deep dive. Deep dive will help you think in terms of batch of trades which will help you accept that trading is a game of probability and the outcome of any one trade is always random. Once you start seeing the outcome in a batch of trades, you will never bother about outcome of any one trade which will eliminate the fear in you about execution." | 2 319 |
