When you're reading medicine as clinician and you would like to build a network of neuronal connections in your brain for clinical thinking and how to interpretate the complaints of the patients in order to find out the diagnosis , put in your mind that the patient came to you with a set of symptoms and signs not a diseases and syndromes .
So you need to think as a patients with symptoms wondering what is the cause , not as a doctor has a lot of scattered diseases in his brain not categorised or wasn't put together as differential to each other ,
This could be achieved and easily to be recalled by studying
medicine as "symptoms and signs_based classification "
Not a diseases and systems_based ..
And try to find out the differences between the cause of a symptom in the same order of your clinical thinking: history taking , examination, investigation ..

*Thyrotoxic crisis* : π¨
(also referred to as thyroid storm) is an acute,life-threatening, hypermetabolic state in patients with thyrotoxicosis.
This is fortunately extremely rare in children but can be an initial presentation in previously undiagnosed children, particularly neonates.
Rapid diagnosis and prompt treatment are crucial
as this condition can be fatal if left untreated.
