The Liberal Hypocrite

I was at Best Buy with my White buddy earlier. He was buying a DSLR camera that cost almost $2k. At the register, they asked him for picture ID with his card, and he made nothing of it. Meanwhile I’m like, “WAIT WAIT WAIT….YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE, I’VE BEEN TOLD THAT BEING CARDED FOR A LARGE PURCHASE IS JUST A SAD REALITY OF BEING BLACK IN AMERICA DUE TO SYSTEMIC RACISM…AND THAT I OUGHT TO BE OUTRAGED AND OFFENDED WHENEVER THIS HAPPENS. NOW I’M LEARNING THEY’VE BEEN DOING THE EXACT SAME THING TO WHITE PEOPLE MAKING BIG PURCHASES AS WELL???” He was like “Yea dude, they got a little more lax once they added chips to the cards but I used to be carded any time I made a purchase over like $100.” I said, well if you sat around a black dinner table, you’d be surprised to hear auntie talking about how the “racist” car salesman actually had the nerve to check her credit score because she was black.

Their ‘logic’.
