It is clear that Cambodia’s decision to work closely with China serves its own best interests, but because this doesn’t serve Washington’s best interests, Cambodia has “chosen” wrong.
For Cambodia, it is clear that if it does not build both the internal capabilities and foreign alliances required to neutralize the same sort of US interference resulting in Ukraine’s political capture in 2014, Cambodia will likewise find important “choices” about its future decided for it. 28 🇷🇺🇺🇦On Drone Footage as "Evidence" of Western Armor's Survivability
Videos of drone footage supposedly showing the "survivability" of Western armor are predicated on the assumption that if a vehicle is hit and doesn't explode into flames, everyone "survived."
In reality, crew within a targeted vehicle can be maimed or killed without the vehicle being completely destroyed including by "spalling."
Spalling occurs when the outer hull of an armored vehicle is struck and fragments of metal on the interior are violently dislodged, transforming into lethal projectiles.
Most armored vehicles are fitted with "spall liners" to "catch" spalling, but it is not 100% effective.
The only way to determine whether or not a strike was ineffective is to examine the interior of the vehicle on the ground, not from aerial drone footage.
Assuming otherwise is just more NATO-Ukrainian propaganda.

▪️US-provided Ground Launched Small-Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) were meant to extend the range of HIMARS launched guided rockets from 70km to 150km, however, like GMLRS, GLSDBs have been rendered ineffective by Russian missile defenses and electronic warfare jamming;
▪️NATO and Ukrainian obsession with targeting Crimea and specifically the Crimean Bridge continues despite the strategic irrelevance of doing so;
▪️Ukrainian brigades continue to disintegrate, calls for building “additional brigades” which would take years are detached from reality;
▪️Meanwhile, Russia continues expanding military industrial production, increasing the gap between it and Ukraine’s Western backers compounding Ukraine’s strategic crisis;
▪️Western policy toward Ukraine at best reflects profound ignorance of how modern warfare and military industrial production actually work, at worst is cynically feeding all of Ukraine into a proxy war to maximize the cost of victory for Russia;

▪️The article appearing in Foreign Affairs claims: "it is crucial for Ukraine to build and train additional brigades now, so that it can mount an active defense in the fall;"
▪️Brigades take 2-3 years to build, and effective brigades will not exist by this fall or even next fall, and that is only if you have the officers and NCOs required for leadership positions at all levels which Ukraine does not;
▪️Russia has destroyed Ukrainian forces built up by NATO from 2014-2022, the idea that Ukraine can just make "additional brigades" for this fall reflects profound ignorance;
▪️Ukraine is suffering the inevitable outcome of a successful strategy of attrition. It cannot be reversed short of other nations sending in their own forces to replace Ukrainian troops;

Better relations with China also serve as Cambodia’s greatest chance of developing modern infrastructure in a nation destroyed by and struggling to rebuild after decades of US proxy wars and interference. It is clear that Cambodia’s decision to work closely with China serves its own best interests, but because this doesn’t serve Washington’s best interests, Cambodia has “chosen” wrong.
For Cambodia, it is clear that if it does not build both the internal capabilities and foreign alliances required to neutralize the same sort of US interference resulting in Ukraine’s political capture in 2014, Cambodia will likewise find important “choices” about its future decided for it. Just as in Europe following Ukraine’s political capture in 2014, Cambodia will find both its own national security and economic prosperity and that of the region within which it resides, upended."
