SCOTUS has ruled that the President of the United States “is absolutely immune from criminal prosecution for conduct within his exclusive sphere of constitutional authority” and that “former Presidents are entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all their official acts.” They did stipulate that “there is no immunity for unofficial acts”, so Joe’s back room deals with China and Ukraine while in office are not protected. This throws a major wrench in Trump’s election interference case, as the case now goes back to the trial court to determine whether Trump’s alleged conduct is official or unofficial, and it’s extremely unlikely this gets done before November. Basically, it’s another day of shit sandwiches for the Dems 🤣 #winning
