Lines. Composition.
Horizontal line
Lines are an element of composition and are one of the easiest ways to draw the viewer into your photos, add depth, guide the viewer, and more.
• Lead the viewer around the frame, moving him from one area to another
• Create depth. With guiding lines, you can draw the viewer to the foreground, then make them rise to the middle ground and eventually to the background.
• Convey the intent. Thick, crisp lines give strength to an image, thin lines make an image fragile.
Let's talk about horizontal lines
Horizontal
✅ The most common line type, the easiest
✅ Horizontal lines seem strong, stable, bring a sense of peace
✅ When it comes to horizontal lines, start with the horizon, don't fill it up
✅ The line can be a fallen tree, a moving river, a sofa, a forest line, etc.
✅ Use a horizontal line as an element to bring the viewer's attention to the central subject
