🇲🇲❗️🇨🇳 The Guizhou JL-9, also known as the FTC-2000 Mountain Eagle, is a family of two-seat transonic advanced jet trainer and light combat aircraft developed by the Guizhou Aviation Industry Import/Export Company (GAIEC) for the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and the People's Liberation Army Naval Air Force (PLANAF). The FTC-2000 started as a GAIEC private venture to develop an inexpensive trainer for fourth generation aircraft. The trainer was revealed at the 2001 China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition. On 5 September 2018, Chinese state-run Xinhua News Agency reported that GAIC had begun mass production of the FTC-2000G variant. In April 2020, China reported that an unnamed South-East Asian country had placed an order for the FTC-2000G, with deliveries expected between 2021 and 2023. Later it was confirmed that Myanmar had ordered those jets.

A Guizhou JL-9 / FTC-2000 Mountain Eagle of Myanmar Air Force was shot down by the People’s Liberation Army (Myanmar), an anti-junta communist rebel group. The jet was reportedly shot down in the Pale, conflict-ridden Sagaing Region.

​🇺🇸❗️What Are the L.A. Protests About? The Los Angeles protests, which began on June 6, 2025, are primarily in response to aggressive immigration raids conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) across the city. Hence 'anti-ICE'. These raids targeted undocumented immigrants, resulting in the arrest of at least 120-130 individuals by June 7, 2025, with some sources estimating higher numbers. The operations focused on locations with significant migrant populations, such as the Garment District, Home Depot stores, and other labor-intensive industries. Protesters are demonstrating against the policy of deportation and what they call - heavy-handed tactics, including military-style operations involving flash-bang grenades, tear gas, and pepper spray, which have caused panic and fear in immigrant communities. The protests escalated after President Donald Trump deployed 2,000 California National Guard troops to Los Angeles on June 7, 2025, to support federal law enforcement, a move criticized by local leaders as inflammatory. Demonstrators are also rallying against the broader Trump administration’s immigration policies, which include mass deportations, increased daily arrest quotas (aiming for 3,000 arrests per day), and restrictions on asylum and humanitarian protections.

🇨🇳 Update on PLA Navy Operations in the Western Pacific This could be the closest publicly known instance to Midway and Hawaii of a Chinese aircraft carrier group conducting adversarial drills. Observations: (1) On June 7, the PLA Navy’s Liaoning carrier group was operating approximately 300 km southwest of Japan’s Minamitorishima. This location lies about 3,200 km from Midway and roughly 5,500 km from Hawaii. (2) This marked the first publicly recorded instance of a Chinese aircraft carrier operating beyond the second island chain. The previous furthest known operations by Chinese carriers occurred in December 2022, when the Liaoning was active south of Okinotorishima, and in April 2023, when the Shandong operated in the same region—both at least 500 km west of Guam. (3) In all three instances, elements of the Chinese carrier groups temporarily detached from the formation, possibly to conduct red-versus-blue adversarial drills. 🔗 K. Tristan Tang

🇮🇱❗️🇵🇸 Israeli officials assert that this action, enforces a legal naval blockade aimed at preventing weapons smuggling into Gaza. The implementation odlf this policy heightened after the October 7 attack. Military preparations include deployment of Shayetet 13 and missile-capable naval vessels to ensure a non-violent but effective takeover.

🇮🇱❗️🇵🇸 The IDF has confirmed the interception. The flotilla is currently navigating international waters, approximately 100-160 nautical miles from Gaza. The takeover operation is planned to be conducted, as they say, calmly. Deportation of the arrested activists expected to follow. Organizers protested that jamming of communications could amount to a war crime, and they have vowed to document the interception "live" as part of their mission to spotlight the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Colombian center-right presidential candidate Miguel Uribe Turbay has been the victim of an assassination attempt. He was shot thrice with severe injuries to the head and chest. There are no reports on wether he survived or succumbed. Colombia is currently governed by a communist President Gustavo Petro.

🇮🇳❗️🏴❗️🇵🇰 The TTK's only agenda in its sole statements so far has been targetting both India & Pakistan to achieve an independent Kashmir. While calls for an independent Kashmir have been called by the groups within the existing jihadi frame, backed by the U.S. & Pakistan, none has ever announced targetting Pakistan - at least in the Kashmiri landscape, marking this, probably the first time such an announcement to be made.

🇮🇳❗️🏴❗️🇵🇰 The Pakistani side has claimed it to be a brainchild of Indian intelligence based on the lack of proper agenda by the group and its names. Further pointing out at the fact of 'Indian backed' Tehreek-e-Taliban (Pakistan) or TTP for short, a Pakistani-Taliban offshoot which targets Pakistani troops in the Pashtun provinces of Waziristan and Khybar Pakhtukhwa allegedly as a response to persecution of Pashtun tribal population by mainland Pakistanis. Pakistan also diffrentiates the group from the other groups operating in Kashmiri territory within the same frame of narrative - Kashmir off the Indian control.
