#Essay259 #Writing #Task2 ☘️ Advantage / disadvantage ✅ Q: It is sometimes suggested that primary schoolchildren should learn how to grow vegetables and keep animals. Do you think that the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? 💡 Answer: Some feel farming vegetables and taking care of animals should be added to the primary school curriculum. In my opinion, though there are drawbacks related to its feasibility, it would be a positive overall. The disadvantages involve the struggles to implement this practice. Firstly, inner city schools do not have easy access to farms. A school in New York City already faced with rising student numbers and a lack of resources cannot be expected to bus thousands of students to nearby farmland on a regular basis. That would unequivocally be a poor allocation of limited resources. Secondly, even schools located in the countryside would have trouble enacting such an ambitious policy. They would need to connect with possibly reluctant local farms, convince teachers, parents, and students of the benefits, and divert funding towards a program with dubious 21st century value as society becomes increasingly urban and less agrarian. Nonetheless, the skills learned would be transferrable and beneficial in themselves. Children learning to grow vegetables will be able to do that their entire lives and much more inclined to later tend a private garden. This can save money, encourage productivity, and improve health. Taking care of animals will also help them if they choose to keep livestock or pets. The greater benefit, however, will come from cultivation of personal qualities. Children will gain a greater sense of responsibility and internalise the real world effects of their negligence or dedication. Later in life regardless of their occupation and where they live, they will have increased self-reliance and a stronger recognition of how they can shape the world around them. In conclusion, the personal benefits to raising animals and growing vegetables outweigh any perceived drawbacks concerning resources. Where possible, schools ought to enact these changes. ✍️ Total words: 319 📍Band: 7.0+ Join for more @IELTSMATERIALA ♡ ㅤ  ❍ㅤ  ㅤ  ⌲ ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᶜᵒᵐᵐᵉⁿᵗ ˢʰᵃʳᵉ

👋 Hey guys Quick tip for speaking. A lot of people ask for study materials on how to get a high score for the speaking test. Honestly, reading and listening how to speak isn't particularly useful. Practice is the real key to speaking. That being said, just speaking like you do with your friends isn't always the best way to practice. I notice with my own class that they tend to talk in short phrases to each other. This isn't ideal. The best way to practice with your speaking partner is to allow each other to give extended thoughtful ideas on whatever question they have. Having a 'chit-chat' isn't really the style that will help you when you come to take the test. In summary, my speaking advice is to get a partner (stop worrying about 'speaking teaching' and perfect answers) and start having conversations where you give extended opinions across all sorts of topics. #Speaking #Exception Join for more @IELTSMATERIALA ♡ ㅤ  ❍ㅤ  ㅤ  ⌲ ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᶜᵒᵐᵐᵉⁿᵗ ˢʰᵃʳᵉ

#Essay258 #Writing #Task2 ☘️ Advantage / disadvantage ✅ Q: In many workplaces, online communication is now more common than face-to-face meetings. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages? 💡 Answer: Offices around the world these days are opting to hold meetings online to save both time and money. In my opinion, despite the potential loss of a strong rapport between co-workers, this is a positive considered as a whole. Critics of these changes often point to its effect on interpersonal relationships in an office. The meeting itself is largely secondary as most information can be communicated just as easily through an online teleconference or an email. True value lies, instead, in the moments before, during and after meetings when colleagues have a chance to socialise or exchange ideas about what they have been working on. This is the reason some companies, famously Apple and Pixar, designed their offices to maximise opportunities for employees to chat with individuals from different departments. The strengthening of social bonds and the sharing of novel perspectives can both boost morale and help drive innovation. Nonetheless, meeting online is more convenient for employees and saves money for companies. When employees must come in for their work already, many of the benefits listed above are already present and meetings mainly serve as a distraction. Remote workers will also appreciate not having to commute for a short meeting, especially if they have family or other working commitments. Moreover, companies benefit from the time that employees save because it allows them to better allocate their labour towards actual work, thereby increasing efficiency. There are also a range of costs that can be reduced once online communications become standard such as leasing less office space and savings related to office expenses and employee perks. In conclusion, though communicating online can be detrimental to personal relationships in an office, they offer thoughtful conveniences to employees and help cut costs. Companies ought to shift as much training to online as possible. ✍️ Total words: 299 📍Band: 7.5+ Join for more @IELTSMATERIALA ♡ ㅤ  ❍ㅤ  ㅤ  ⌲ ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᶜᵒᵐᵐᵉⁿᵗ ˢʰᵃʳᵉ

Hi team✌️ Here's a vocabulary tip. There are 3 common ways to explain nouns in more detail. 1. Compound nouns 2. Adjective + noun 3. the noun of noun 4. possessive + noun There is usual one perfect way to describe a noun. This varies by collocation. Let's look at examples of each. 1. business meeting A compound noun is when you have two (or more) nouns in a row that create one concept or thing. If a compound noun is available for a concept, it is usually most natural to use it. 2. Thai culture In this case, we use 'adjective + noun' to describe something. Here a compound noun doesn't exist (we can't say 'Thailand culture'), so our best option is to use the adjective + noun form. 3. the magic of cinema In this case, compound noun forms such as 'magic cinema' or 'cinema magic' don't exist. Magical cinema isn't a natural collocation, so we only have the option of 'the noun of noun'. 4. Australia's universities In this case, we are using a less common way of saying 'Australian universities'. Most possessives are from pronouns such as 'our / its / their' etc. 🧐 So what's the big tip. My suggestion is to try to use the forms 1 and 2 as a priority whenever a collocation is available. For example, 'Thai food' is more natural than 'the food of Thailand' or 'Thailand's food'. These forms are all correct, but if you keep doing 3 and 4 all the time, your writing ends up sounding a bit awkward. #IELTSTopTips #Writing9 Join for more @IELTSMATERIALA ♡ ㅤ  ❍ㅤ  ㅤ  ⌲ ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᶜᵒᵐᵐᵉⁿᵗ ˢʰᵃʳᵉ
