#Tips Messaging - Text communication A process of sending and receiving messages on electronic devices. SMS is another core feature in a phone, so let's check out what the Messaging app has to offer. The first page just showed all the messages that you received. Select any of the conversation and you will be able to archive, delete, add as contact or block the number. Tapping into any of the conversations and you will be able to send a message. It is also possible to send pictures, videos, audio and contact cards via MMS too. I like the way the section opens and it's smooth. Tapping on the "+" lets you create a new conversation with your contacts. You can view your archived chat via the overflow menu. The settings page also lets you toggle outgoing message sounds, swipe to delete and more, with advanced settings letting you take control of MMS. Besides, there are also two widgets in total, one showing a specific conversation and another one showed your conversation list.

#Tips Contacts - People that you know A facility allowing to store details of personal contacts. You could have possibly contacted many people, and the Contacts app is here to help you sort out all of these messes. There is not much to play with, when first opening the app you will see all of your contacts with a "+" button on the bottom-right corner. Tapping on it will let you create a new contact. With 19.1, it is also possible to add dates and relations too. The hamburger menu has My Info, Contacts, Label, Accounts, Emergency Info and Settings option. In the settings page, you can manage accounts on the device, set the default account for new contacts, contacts to display when opening the app, change sort by, name format and phonetic name. You can also import and export contacts from there. Besides, there are widgets which let you open the contact info page, direct dial and direct message, which will open the default phone and SMS app respectively.

#Tips AudioFX - Audio enhancement Provides classes that manage audio effects implemented in the media framework. So there's one interesting app in LineageOS called AudioFX, which is a sort of an audio enhancement app, so let's check out what it has to offer. There are a total of 11 presets, those are: Normal, Classical, Dance, Flat, Folk, Heavy metal, Hip Hop, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Small speakers. When you long hold on any of the bars, it will switch you to the custom mode and over there you can customise it however you want. You can also add more if needed by pressing the "+" button on the top-right corner. At the bottom, there are Bass and Virtualiser which are only available if you have a headphone connected. By the way, you can switch the audio source on the top-right corner. That's pretty much it for this app, most importantly it's open source and free to use.

#Tips Files - Data all in one place A collection of data stored on a storage device. The Files app basically lets you browse through files that are stored on your device. By the way, you can still visit the Android/data folder with this app without root. You can open a new window, create a new folder, change sort by order, select all files and folders, get info and toggle to show hidden files. All the basic features that you used to know are there, search, move, copy, delete... you name it. You can also change the view between grid and list. Sadly it just couldn't remember the position I was previously at and always reverted back to the top after going back to the last path. There is one cool gesture that I had only realised until I started to review it, apparently you can hold and drag to move a file to a new location, just like on your computer. I didn't find any other files manager which did it, but you are welcome to tell me if you found one.

#Tips Telephone - Talk with others (2) A system for transmitting voices over a distance. Continuing with the Telephone app, there are many settings for this one. For display options, this will affect the Contact section. Next, Sounds and vibration do what you had expected, you can change the ringtone sound, toggle keypad tone and whether to vibrate in certain conditions. Sometimes we might be busy, and quick responses are a great way to reply to people during this condition. Phone number lookup lets you check information regarding the phone number or search for an organisation hotline number. Most likely you won't have to touch calling accounts, but over there you can modify call and SIP settings. Blocked number is where you can manage all the numbers you have blocked earlier. Voicemail is a voice message left by the caller since you aren't free to listen to the call, you can set up one there if you'd like to. Accessibility section basically offers tools for those who have difficulties in hearing.
