does the internet sound? is it all 0s, 1s, 6s and 7s? can we even differentiate between the internet and our cyborgified selves in the age of increased amalgamation of humans and computers? or should we rather ask how music sounds that is infiltrated by the internet, molded and bred by it? I <3 my computer celebrates our relationship with machines and the music it allows us to create, our interconnectedness that made it possible to share information, find communities and create genres - such as Hyperpop - that are able to embody what it means to be alive in the 21st century, including the experiences tied to the internet and online culture, the overflow of information and the increasing complexities that come with that. it is an attempt to connect ourselves in the local community and share the passion for a genre that is able to combine a myriad of influences and to celebrate it in all its glory.
