The people asked, âWhen would it happen?â
âWhen the instruments of music become common, singing girls are in great number and the use of intoxicants is widespread. By Allah, many people of my Umma will be such that they shall spend the night in merry-making and sensuality and in the daytime become like monkeys and pigs. It will be the consequence of considering the prohibited things permissible, they will be occupied with singing girls, frequently take intoxicants, devour interest and shall dress in clothes made of silk.â | 2 060 |

Today, Iâm gonna share a few things that had helped me leave music.
-Firstly, never miss your obligatory prayers.
- I kept a quote of Imam Ali (A.S.), in front of my desk, so whenever i felt like listening to music, i would just read the quote. It goes, âThe best form of worship is breaking a habit or an addiction.â
- I kept myself busy with studies, and things, so I donât get the time to listen to music.
- I read Hadiths and listened to Qurâan recitation when i wanted to listen to music.
-Lastly, I feared Allah and the punishment of Hereafter.
InshaâAllah this will help you leave music. and you keep yourself aloof from songs.

The traditions also state that the singer will be recognised by these very signs, i.e., blindness, deafness etc.
In another tradition Holy Prophet (S) is quoted to have said:
âMolten lead shall be poured into the ears of one who listens to songs, intently.â

The greater sins are those for which Allah has promised hellfire.
And Repent (make tawbah).
Allah accept your repentance even for the greater sins.
And the best form of repentance is to stop committing that sin.
