🌿 You Don't Have to Adjust to the Study Rhythm Right Away
The beginning of the academic year often feels like a time when you need to get yourself together quickly.
But sometimes this takes T-I-M-E.
The first few weeks of the semester are also a period of adjustment. You don't have to feel completely settled already.
What can help?
🟠 Don't expect yourself to be fully productive right away After the holidays, it can be difficult to return to your usual pace. This does not necessarily mean that you have become less organised or “lazy.” Sometimes your mind simply needs time to adjust. 🟠 Focus on what is closest, not on the whole semester When there are many new tasks ahead, it is easy to keep everything in your head at once. Try replacing “How am I going to get through this semester?” with “What do I need to understand and do this week?” Breaking uncertainty into smaller parts can make it much easier to handle. 🟠 Don't compare your pace of adjustment with other people’s Some people have already met their whole group, figured out their schedule, and seem completely comfortable. But someone else adjusting faster does not mean there is something wrong with you. Everyone has their own pace. 🟠 Notice not only what is still difficult At the beginning of the semester, it is easy to focus on everything that still needs to be fixed. Try asking yourself: *“What has already become a little clearer for me?”* You may already have met someone, figured out part of your schedule, or learned who you can turn to for help. Even small changes are part of adjustment. 🟠 Leave room for ordinary life Studying can quickly take up all your time and attention. But we need more than classes, deadlines, and plans. Sleep, a walk, talking to a friend, sports, music, or simply having some time without tasks are not “wasted time.” They are part of the life that helps you recover and feel like yourself again.🌱 You don't have to feel completely adjusted to the new academic year yet. And if something isn't working or you feel that talking to friends isn't enough, you can always book a consultation with our psychologists through MyUni ⭐️ [RU]

Repost from Университет Иннополис
