‎Both are named St Thomas, and they share the same yard, in Mosul, Nineveh. ‎The smaller and older one is St Thomas for the Syriac Orthodox, from around the year 600, built on top of the house of St Thomas himself. ‎ ‎The second and bigger one is St Thomas for the Syriac Catholic, built in 1863, it was the first church in Mosul to re open after Isis, made possibly entirely by the church’s own people with no help from UNESCO or the government. ‎كلتاهما تحملان اسم القديس توما، وتقعان في نفس الساحة في الموصل، نينوى. ‎الكنيسة الأصغر والأقدم هي كنيسة القديس توما للكنيسة السريانية الأرثوذكسية، ويعود تاريخها إلى حوالي عام 600 ميلادي، وقد بُنيت فوق منزل القديس توما نفسه. ‎أما الكنيسة الثانية والأكبر فهي كنيسة القديس توما للكنيسة السريانية الكاثوليكية، وقد بُنيت عام 1863 ميلادي، وكانت أول كنيسة في الموصل تُعاد افتتاحها بعد سقوط تنظيم داعش، وقد بُنيت على الأرجح بجهود أبناء الكنيسة أنفسهم دون أي مساعدة من اليونسكو أو الحكومة.

‎Gulf of Basra… rather than naming it after ethnic groups it should be named after the city that dominated the gulf for most of history and sits right on top of the gulf. Additionally, the gulf used to be an extension of the Mesopotamian Basin. Even if other countries don’t use it (and they don’t have to, many countries use different names for the same place in accordance to their culture and perspective) Iraq should use this name. Turkey already does. ‎خليج البصرة... بدلاً من تسميته بأسماء الجماعات العرقية، ينبغي تسميته باسم المدينة التي سيطرت على الخليج معظم التاريخ، والتي تقع مباشرةً على قمته. إضافةً إلى ذلك، كان الخليج امتداداً لحوض بلاد ما بين النهرين. حتى وإن لم تستخدم دول أخرى هذا الاسم (وليس عليها ذلك، فكثير من الدول تستخدم أسماءً مختلفة للمكان نفسه وفقاً لثقافتها ووجهة نظرها)، ينبغي على العراق استخدام هذا الاسم. تركيا تستخدمه اساساً.
