How can one never thirst again? It’s hard to imagine what that would feel like, especially with Singapore’s hot and humid weather. However, Jesus offers something special: living water. Water that will not leave us wanting. A drink that truly satisfies (John 4:13–14). What kinds of wells are you drinking from today? Where do you go to find satisfaction? Jesus told the Samaritan woman, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and he would have given you living water” (v. 10). But it is our Father who created us with the abilities to produce good work (Deut 8:17–18). Can you imagine the Creator of the universe, author of life, giving life to humans who are merely mortal? God who holds authority over all things, loves and cares for us. 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄 | The Vine and the Branches Have you ever wondered why Jesus says, “𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔”? Why does He use this analogy to describe our relationship with Him? Just as a branch depends on the vine for life, 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝑯𝒊𝒎. Working hard is honourable, until it becomes an idol that draws us away from God. It takes humility to come to Jesus, let Him lead you, and learn from Him. To shed that second skin that prides itself in productivity and self-reliance. To acknowledge that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Rest isn’t a reward for completing your to-do list or meeting your career advancement goals. Believing in Christ’s redemption calls us to be 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒘𝒆𝒅 (Rom 12:2). That means taking our focus away from working for the things of this temporal world. We are often burdened by the sin we carry, but our assurance rests in God’s ever-increasing grace. No matter what we struggle with, God still welcomes us into His presence. Our sin can feel like stubborn stains, clingy and hard to remove. But Christ comes like an eraser, quietly wiping every mark clean. Christ is risen! Okay, but 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲? Among the many ways people reacted to Jesus’ death and resurrection, one was doubt, like we see so often today. “Doubting Thomas” initially questioned whether Jesus had truly risen from the dead. He was convinced only when he felt the wounds where Jesus had been pierced. “My Lord and my God,” he proclaimed, and believed. We can’t physically touch Jesus’ nail-pierced hands today. But let’s continue to put our faith in the testimony of God’s Word and Spirit (Ps. 19:7; John 15:26) and believe in Christ’s redemptive death and resurrection until He returns. 🕊️ — Collaboration between @ourdailybreadsingapore and @ymi.today

𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄 | There is a table set for us Amid our routines and busyness, we often sacrifice our relationship with God to build our life. Despite our unfaithfulness, God is always faithful in waiting for us to return to Him. He longs to spend quality time with us. ☕️ When was the last time you stopped to spend time with Him? No matter how far you feel you’ve drifted, come to Him. 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈.

Remember, as we wait on God for the things we long for, He too is waiting for us to ✨𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆✨. Just like the father who waited for his son’s return with 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, who ran toward him with 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙨, who looked upon him not with disappointment or judgment but with 𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚, our God is waiting too. So as we wait, shall we wait with the Lord? Instead of turning away from Him, let's turn toward Him today. The season of waiting will always be grueling. Life moves quickly, and sometimes it can feel like God’s voice gets lost in the middle of it all. Take heart, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. He is not distant or silent, but personal, near, and walking with His sheep one day at a time. If you’re struggling to understand why you are waiting, we are too. 🥺 But we can take comfort in familiar figures like Moses and King David. They, too, waited years for God’s promises of deliverance and kingship. Moses never entered the Promised Land, yet his long season in the wilderness moulded him 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 he never imagined he’d be. And King David’s journey to the throne was marked by pain and suffering, yet he became the leader the people needed, 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁. You are precious—the apple of God’s eye. (Deut 32:10) 🍎 In this season of love, may we remember the depth of His love: 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. Let our hearts give Him the highest praise.

We're all sinners, rescued from eternal damnation and forgiven, out of God's mercy and love for us. He sees all our flaws, all our sins—and still calls us His beloved children.
