#Batch3_Exclusive 🟥 Important announcement: 🟥 Dear students of the third batch, The following instructions are of utmost importance to help you successfully pass the Comprehensive Exam. ◾️ The Comprehensive Exam is your final step before acquiring Moddaker Diploma. ◾️ The purpose of the exam is to revise what you studied throughout the past two years. So, rest assured that the questions of the exam will be as simple, direct, and easy as possible. ◾️ The Comprehensive Exam will be an "open-book" exam. ◾️ The exam is divided into 6 different sub-exams; each includes questions of 5 parts of the Qur’ān. ◾️ The total number of questions of the exam is 150 questions, 5 questions per part. ◾️The total exam grades are (150), and students pass the exam if they get a score of (75) grades or more. ◾️ All 6 sub-exams will be opened and closed simultaneously. You may take them in any order you wish and at any time during the two-week period of the exam. 🔴 The duration of each sub-exam is unlimited, within the Exam period. This means that you can answer some of the questions and then answer the remaining on a different day. You may also answer a few questions from one sub-exam and then move on to another and return to answer the remaining on another day. In general, you have unlimited freedom regarding the duration and the order of the exam. 🔴 IMPORTANT: Please note this! Each part of the Qur’ān has an independent page for its questions. Should you wish to continue answering the exam at a later time, you MUST move to the next page in order to save your answers to the previous page. If you close the tab in your browser before moving to the next page, your answers to the questions of the page you closed will NOT be saved. 🔴 As this is the final exam of the Program, it is highly unlikely that second chances or extensions will be granted to those who have missed the exam for any reason. #Batch #Part25 🔴 Important clarification! In reference to question 4 in the test of part 25: In verse 10 of Surat ad-Dukhan, the phrase "a day when the sky is clearly filled with smoke." speaks about the Day of Judgement. A. True. B. False. ✅ The correct answer is: "False". We can see this in the explanation of verse 10 and the explanation of the verses before and after. In Almokhtasar, verse 10 of Surat ad-Dukhan: (So O Messenger! Wait for their punishment that will come soon: a day when the sky is clearly filled with smoke), then in the explanation of verse 15: (Indeed, when I turn the punishment away from them for a short while, they will return to their disbelief and rejection.) The punishment on the Day of Judgement is everlasting and does not stop, not for a moment. Verse 15 reveals that the punishment referred to in verse 10 is in the worldly life, not the Day of Judgement. Also, the Great Smoke is one of the signs of the Day of Judgement which will occur on the last days of the worldly life. Therefore, it cannot be on the Day of Judgement. Allah knows best.

#Question143 #Verse_Explanation #Batch4 #Question: In the explanation of verse 13 of Sūrat Āl 'Imrān: ﴿قَد كانَ لَكُم آيَةٌ في فِئَتَينِ التَقَتا فِئَةٌ تُقاتِلُ في سَبيلِ اللَّهِ وَأُخرى كافِرَةٌ يَرَونَهُم مِثلَيهِم رَأيَ العَينِ_ وَاللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصرِهِ مَن يَشاءُ إِنَّ في ذلِكَ لَعِبرَةً لِأُولِي الأَبصارِ﴾ [آل عمران: ١٣] The underlined part is explained as follows: (The believers actually saw the disbelievers as being double their real number) Was it the believers or the disbelievers who saw the other party as twice as their real number? #Answer: All praise be to Allāh. According to Almokhtasar, it was the believers who saw the disbelievers as twice their real number. Scholars of Tafsir have differed about the reference in this verse. However, when such disagreement amongst scholars occurs, the authors of Almokhtasar have adopted a method to choose the most likely opinion. The interpretation mentioned in Almokhtasar is not problematic. All tests made the believers see the number of the disbelievers twice as much to test their resolve and their commitment to aiding and defending the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as they vowed to do so when came to Medinah. The bext part of the verse shows that Allāh aided the believers when they showed their truthfulness and their sincerity in defending and protecting the Prophet and the message of Islam. #Question142 #Part_Test #Batch4 #Question: In the Test of Part (2), one of the questions said: In verse 142 of Surat al-Baqarah, the word (السُّفَهَآءُ) means: the weak-minded, the fools. And it refers to the idolaters of Makkah who mocked the believers after the changing of the direction of the Qiblah. A. True. B. False. Can you explain why the correct answer was "False"? #Answer: All praise be to Allāh. The incorrect part in this statement is "And it refers to the idolaters of Makkah". The verse speaks about the Jews and the Hypocites of Medinah, not the idolaters of Makkah. It is best to read the question carefully and evaluate each part in it before choosing an answer. Whilst they are uncommon in Moddaker tests and exams, some questions hold the key to the answer in one word or part of a sentence within the question's statement, which is why we recommend that you take your time in reading and understanding the questions carefully, especially True-and-False questions. #Question142 #Verse_Explanation #Batch3 #Question: In the explanation of verse 47 of Sūrat Yā-Sīn, it says: (O believers, are simply in clearly error and far off from the truth.) Is this part of the explanation correct? #Answer: All praise be to Allāh. This statement seems strange if read without its context. The statement is said by the disbelievers to the believers when they told them to spend in charity. They said to the believers: (Shall we feed those whom Allah could feed if He wanted to?!... You, O believers, are simply in clearly error and far off from the truth.) From the context, we can see that is is not a statement made by Allāh, but rather by the disbelievers. Allāh knows best.

🔴 Important clarification Dear students, We would like to bring your attention to a translation error in the explanation of verse 6 of Surat al-Mursalat. In the explanation of the verse, it says: (They descend bringing revelation as a warning from Allah so that He is excused, and warning the people of the punishment of Allah.) The underlined part is meant to be a translation of the meaning of (عُذْرًا). However, the interpreter misunderstood its true meaning, or was unable to translate properly. The meaning of this part of the verse is; the angels descend from the heavens bringing the revelation from Allah so that people would not have any excuse when He punishes them for their disbelief; as the revelation is proof and a profound argument that leaves them with no excuse for their disbelief. we believe that this was the intended meaning by the interpreter, however, he failed to deliver it properly. This resulted in a translation that implies inappropriate and, indeed, false meaning that is attributed to Allah. 🔴 We do urge you all who studied the explanation of this verse in Moddaker, or shared it with your family and friends to bring their attention to this clarification. 🔴 A work is in progress to release the new edition of Almokhtasar which corrects all the errors in the 1st edition, which we are studying now. #Question141 #Batch4 #Question Can you elaborate more on the meaning of abrogation that is mentioned in verse 106 of Surat al-Baqarah? #Answer: All praise be to Allah. The term "Nask" in the Qur'anic context refers to the repeal or revoke of a previously established ruling, or a revealed verse. "Abrogation" is the closest interpretation to this term in the English language, even though the term "abrogation" is used mostly in legal contexts, whilst in Islam, it has a wider meaning. Abrogating a verse in the Qur'an does not necessarily require causing people to forget them. We are, to this day, aware of verses in the Qur'an that were abrogated. However, most abrogated verses in the Qur'an were not reported to us; due to a number of reasons the explanation of which will require a long time. There are 3 types of abrogation; based on the consideration of the repealing of the text and the meaning of the verse: 1. The abrogation of the text of the verse without the meaning; this means that the meaning remains established in Islamic law, however, the text is no longer in the Qur'an. An example of this is the ruling of stoning a married adulterer. 2. The abrogation of the meaning of the verse without the text; this means that the verse is still recited as a part of the Qur'an, however, its meaning is no longer affirmed. An example of this is verse 240 of Surat al-Baqarah. 3. The abrogation of both the text and the meaning; this means that the meaning of the verse is revoked and the text is repealed as well and cannot be considered a part of the Qur'an. An example of this is the minimum amount of breastfeeding to establish a "Mahram" relationship and a breastfeeding-based kinship, as it was a verse in the Qur'an that sets the minimum to 10 times, then it was revoked. Abrogation is unanimously accepted by all scholars of Islam, and it is one of the aspects of the miracles of the Qur'an, and one of the manifestations of the Mercy of Allah. Hopefully, an opportunity will arise to speak about it in more details and to explore the wonders of abrogation in the Qur'an. Allah knows best.

#Question140 #Verse_Explanation #Batch4 #Question In the explanation of verse 27 of Surat Al Imran, it says: ( ...and You bring out the dead from the living – as in a disbeliever from a believer and a chick from an egg.) Is the underlined part correct? #Answer All praise be to Allah. This appears to be a translation error or a typographical error. Bringing out a chick from an egg is an example of the opposite, and the correct parable here is to bring out an egg from a chick. Allah knows best.

#Question139 #Glossary #Question: How does one benefit from the glossary files? #Answer: All praise be to Allāh. The glossary files are designed to help you understand the meanings of the words independently from the context of the verse, or within the context with extra elaboration of their meanings. This helps you further your understanding of the verse by giving you a more detailed explanation abd provide you with a contextual understanding of the root of the words in the verse. The glossary files in Moddaker are designed to act as a simplified dictionary of the Qur’ānic words. In other words, the explanation in Almokhtasar gives you a general interpretation of the meaning of the verse, whilst the glossary files gives you a more specific and detailed interpretation.
