🌞 The Secret of Ancient Civilizations to Keep Homes Cool 🌞 Have you ever thought about closing the windows when the heat is unbearable? It sounds strange. Mainly depending on your climate. But that’s precisely what desert people do, and there’s an intelligent reason behind it. Watch the Instagram Video to Understand Everything: https://www.instagram.com/p/C8b_XT5v5MI/ In ancient Middle Eastern civilizations, opening a window only brought more heat and dust inside. So, they devised an ingenious solution: they built their homes around a central courtyard with a water fountain. This courtyard was not only beautiful but also functional. The water evaporated, humidifying and cooling the hot air before it entered the homes. Plants around the fountain created a pleasant microclimate, providing natural shade and coolness.

Starting Monday with the greenest museum in the world! 🌿 The California Academy of Sciences has an incredible green roof that retains up to 98% of rainwater, helping to prevent flooding and conserve water resources. Designed by Renzo Piano, the space features an aquarium, planetarium, natural history museum, and a four-story rainforest biosphere. Inside, you’ll find exotic plants, colorful butterflies, birds, and small animals, simulating tropical ecosystems from various parts of the world. And there's more: circular skylights that open and close automatically to regulate the temperature. And the best part! You can walk along the trails on the roof, where a colony of native California bees lives, essential for pollination and promoting urban biodiversity. How was an abandoned railway line transformed into a unique green roof in New York? Check out the video I made on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8RieQ8oeuz 🌿 The High Line is an elevated park where vegetation thrives in a thin layer of soil between 18 and 36 inches. The transformation began with creating a green space in the middle of the city, using herbaceous species from the area and other plants capable of withstanding local conditions. 🌱 During construction, an intelligent drainage system was installed to capture rainwater. This helps keep the plants healthy even during dry periods. 💧 The High Line also helps improve air quality and reduce the urban heat island effect. It’s a green refuge that offers a peaceful space for residents and tourists, as well as a unique view of New York City. 🏙️ Of course, it also hosts a variety of cultural and recreational activities. 🎭 Have a great week!
