Declaration of ICAS Examination Results: ICAS Examinations - December 2023 Dear ICASians, We are pleased to inform you that the results of the ICAS examinations, conducted in December 2023, are scheduled to be declared today midnight. Ie., 00:00hrs 31st January 2024. You can access your results through the ICAS Academic Portal. How to View Results? To check your results, please follow these steps: 1. Log in to your profile page on the ICAS Academic Portal. 2. Navigate to the "Dec23 Results" tab to view your examination scores. Revaluation Request [Offline exams only] If you wish to request a revaluation for any paper from offline examinations, you can do so by using the "Revaluation Request" tab on your student profile within the ICAS Academic Portal. Please note the following important details: - The deadline for revaluation applications is February 10, 2024. - A revaluation fee of Rs. 200 per paper must be paid through your chapter chairman. - Revaluation requests will only be processed if approved by the chapter chairman and the fees have been paid. Marks Sheets/Certificates Marks sheets and certificates for the December 2023 examinations will be dispatched during the second week of February 2024. Additional Opportunity For candidates who did not clear the papers or were absent during the previous examination, please note that the ICAS examination for June 2024 is scheduled. 38th Annual General Body Meeting of ICAS - Report Date: September 9, 2023 Location: Mysuru Attendance: A grand gathering of 225 ICASians marked the 38th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS). This included 53 chapter chairpersons who attended the meeting along with members of their respective chapters, as well as members from the Mysuru and Bengaluru chapters. Proceedings: - The AGM was presided over by Prof A B Shuklaji, Hon National President of ICAS, and Dr Revathi Kumar, Hon National Secretary, formally requested the chair to commence the day's proceedings. - The event commenced with a melodious prayer rendition by Smt Shridevi Das, a faculty member of the Mysuru Chapter. Welcome Address by Prof A B Shuklaji: - Prof Shuklaji welcomed the attendees and reminisced about the progress ICAS had made over the past three years, with a particular focus on the accomplishments in 2022-23. - He commended the increase in the number of students and the digital transformation of ICAS. Prof Shuklaji urged all ICASians to propel the organization forward with increased enthusiasm and zeal. - During his address, he announced the introduction of a new title, "Jyotish Tattvajna," as the highest honor to be awarded to ICASians. The inaugural recipient of this title was declared to be Smt Gayatri Devi Vasudev, who was honored along with the Senior National Vice Presidents. Awards and Honors: - Several prestigious awards were presented during the AGM: - "Jyotish Martand," the second-highest award in ICAS, was conferred upon Pt Satish Sharma, Sri Ramesh Chintak, and Dr M Anjaneyulu, who are Hon National Senior Vice Presidents. Additionally, Sri Rangachari and Sri Narasimha Alse, Hon National Vice Presidents, were also honored with this award. - Sri Anil Kaushal, Hon National Vice President, received the "Jyotish Bhanu" title. - Dr Soumya Kumar, Hon National Vice President, was conferred with the highest title in Nadi astrology given by ICAS, "Nadi Bhanu." - Eighteen faculty members from various chapters were also honored with different titles. Election of New Office Bearers: - After the presentation of the Secretary and Treasurer's reports, the election of new office bearers for ICAS was conducted. Sri Navneet Kaushik served as the Election Officer and was nominated unanimously. - In most categories, there was only one nomination, except for the post of Hon National Vice President (NVP), where there were 12 nominations. - Prof Shuklaji, re-elected as Hon National President, requested two candidates, Sri Harsh Lakhanpal of Chandigarh and Sri Subramanya Tantri of Mysuru, to kindly withdraw their nominations, which they graciously agreed to do.
