why people watch pornography ? There are several reasons people indulge in this act There is a strange spirit behind pornography. It reduces its victims to nothing. So many young persons are entangled in this web and find it difficult to come out. I had to trace this because there is no smoke without fire. Now one can start watch pornography by mistake It starts from the heart. When heart is heavily loaded with sexual lust. This is the reason the Bible teaches us in Proverbs 4:23 "Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life." The moment our hearts is polluted; the devil brings filthy imaginations to defile it. Pornography start from the heart. As someone picked up a phone and started browsing several sites on pornography their journal to destruction begans. If you desire to please God by staying sexually pure, desist from pornography. So many young persons encourage themselves by thinking they can watch pornography and avoid sexual sins. It is a lie from the pit of hell. When you are heavily involved in this act; you see nothing fascinating about the opposite sex after all you have watched many of them naked. You must not allow your freedom as an avenue for sin. It is the fear of God that can make you depart from sin. Let me also make it clear here that there are different kinds of pornography Some don't use their phone to watch pornography, Some read romanticism novels that are sexually explicit, some love movies that display sexual scenes. Major reasons why people indulge in pornography 1. Curiosity 2. Peer influence 3. Unbridled sexual desires 1. Curiosity Sometimes, young people are very curious especially the younger teens When they tell them wait for sex till marriage: They are not willing to wait, they want to have a view of it: On your phone, you could be browsing and something just pop up to distract: If you are not disciplined enough, you might find yourself checking the porn pages. The sexual organ of the opposite sex is not some to fantasize about !! Once, somehow becomes too curious about sexual activities, there is a very high tendency such person to watch. If you are not willing to wait patiently for sex in marriage, you might think that pornography is safe for you. It is very dangerous to your physical life and your eternity. If you are physically a virgin but you have defiled your heart sexually, it is a very dangerous path you are treading. There is no way a porn addict can have a pure relationship with God. The lesson is this: we must curtail our curiosity- Mind what you watch on TV 2. Peer influence If you have friends who call pornography fun, run away from them. Some are introduced into it by their friends and before they know it, they become addicts. Sin is terrible, it kills. If you have anyone who laughs at what make God sad, flee from them. Job made a covenant with his eyes Job 31:1 “I have made a covenant (agreement) with my eyes; How then could I gaze [lustfully] at a virgin?" We need to emulate our brother Job . David saw physical pornography as he saw Bathsheba having her bath. His life never remained the same. If only he had self-control by taking his eyes away. The devil has used what we see to pull us down. It started from the garden of Eden. Eve saw that the fruit was good, she desired it. It is better to be alone than to be in the wrong company. We never heard of Joseph having any friend but he was able to resist sexual advances from Portiphar's wife The fact that others are doing it does not make it right. The broad way has many candidates. The narrow way has few persons treading the path. I had some friends in secondary school who showed me a video when I went to their house. That was my first time of seeing it Your association determines your destination. A rat does not make friends with a cat. Some parents don't teach their children sex education. Such children will become too curious, ask from their friends and sometimes want to watch what their parents did not teach them at home 3.Unbridled sexual desire

s Some porn addicts do not engage in sex itself. They use it as an avenue to ease their sexual tension. When they are watching or reading any porn material. They could masturbate and feel sexually satisfied. But that is not the war to freedom. Jesus is the only way to freedom. He is ready to set you free. Acknowledge your weakness and confess it. Proverbs 28:13-15 Amplified Bible (AMP) 13 He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But whoever confesses and [a]turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy. 14 Blessed and favored by God is the man who fears [sin and its consequence] at all times, But he who hardens his heart [and is determined to sin] will fall into disaster. May God keep us sexually pure in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
