| 8 | 1) CJP is asking J. P. Nadda to come to Jantar Mantar because yesterday, he called their representatives for a meeting, supposedly to find a solution. However, CJP alleges that this was intentionally done to leave the protest leaderless.
Both CJP spokespersons were reportedly kept under house arrest for around two hours. After that, J. P. Nadda arrived, and they presented him with three demands. However, there was no response from him afterward. By then, it was already around 3–4 PM, and the protest had become disorganised.
They do not want to fall into the same trap or repeat the same mistake again. That is why they are now asking J. P. Nadda to come to Jantar Mantar and meet them there.
2) True, but the same thing had been demanded by the INC and other parties for the past two days. The government could have agreed to it on the first day itself.
As of now, there has been no discussion in Parliament yet. Kiren Rijiju (BJP) has said that the date, time, and duration of the discussion first need to be decided, and only then will the discussion take place.
3) How have the demands been met? The demand was for accountability. As of now, only a discussion/session has been agreed upon. The demands cannot be considered fulfilled until accountability is actually established as an outcome of that discussion.
The core reason behind both CJP's and Sonam Wangchuk's protests remains the same: accountability.
