Sultan Mohammed met with His Excellency Awol Arba, President of Afar Regional State about assistance to be provided to the IDP in Afar by Sultan Mohammed Foundation and other pertinent issues on Thursday the 13th of April 2023 in Semera, Afar Regional State.

If you all remember Ato Teshome was one of our distinguished participants in the Worldwide Harari Conference we had last December here in Dallas. Mawlid celebration in Alkaso, Siltie Zone on the occasion of Nisf al Shaban on the 5th of March 2023. The Mawlid celebration goes on for 3 days and nights and is one of the biggest in Ethiopia. It is believed more than half a million people take part in the celebration. We were there only for about six hours. Insha'Allah we will share the video recordings we have soon.

The Harari community in Dire Dawa organized and invited Sultan Mohammed to a  "Meet Your Sultan" program to give the afocha and community members an opportunity to interact with the Sultan and get to know him and his roles better on the 12th of February 2023 at Abadir School in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia.

The Harari Community delivered 2.4 million ETB to the Turkish Embassy for earthquake victims in Türkiye. Other Ethiopian groups also made various amount of donations for the same purpose.
