Frens, Earlier today, I shared a message from a dark place - one of exhaustion and despair. The journey of trying to create meaningful change has been harder than I could have imagined. My wife and I have faced repeated setbacks: living in a caravan through winter, betrayal by family, broken promises, and constant uncertainty - I haven't been able to sleep for weeks, knowing the very bed we're sleeping in may be taken away from us at any time. But something shifted today. After sending out the latest version of our documentary teaser to the farmers we're working with, my wife, our puppy and I went out into nature. Standing in the ocean (it's summer here in Australia), feeling the sun on my skin, I was reminded that even in our darkest moments, life continues to offer moments of grace. We're currently documenting a pivotal moment in Australian agriculture, working with farmers who are fighting to feed millions while navigating complex environmental challenges. These farmers are proving that feeding people and healing the Earth aren't mutually exclusive, and the footage we're capturing is powerful, and the story is important. I haven't spoken of this much here, but part of my mission with Carbon Capture Shield is to completely redefine the concept of money and value. Humans are presently an extractive species of consumers (society has been engineered this way). At the root of it - ALL MONEY is extractive in nature. Even Gold must be extracted from the Earth in a degrading manner, and even our farming methods are largely extractive in nature. What I have designed, and patented, is a Means of Generating Currency via Measures of Ecosystem Health, or EHDC. This is why I came to Australia, as the PhD researcher has created technology to allow the quick/simple/cheap yet scientifically accurate measure of biological health - from the microscopic to the macroscopic! His tools will allow us to begin measuring the health of living ecosystems. Imagine it this way: Many stewards live along a river, they don't own the river, but they are stewarding their section. Every season (3 months), the water quality and health of the flora & fauna in their section of the river is tested. If the overall health of life has gone up - they 'Harvest' new currency. If the health has gone down, they don't. Now, we don't need to teach any of them to protect the health of the river - if something is harming the life in it, they are naturally motivated to find out who/what/why, and to fix it. We have designed a monetary system that rewards good behavior instead of punishing bad behavior. To protect this idea, Carbon Capture Shield patented this in January 2022, and then I published this Whitepaper in December 2022. Meanwhile, the USPTO has sat on this without a word to us - until a month ago when they REJECTED ALL OUR CLAIMS. I've written a 13-page rebuttal, showing how there is nothing like this anywhere in the world, but they refuse to talk to me - so our patent attorney (a good one) has been liaising with them. He has now filed our formal response, but needs to be paid $1,500 USD for his work before he can discuss it and get this resolved before our deadline of January 19, 2024. My wife and I are barely hanging on - living on the kindness of the farmers we're here to help, as we document their struggles. My investors in Carbon Capture Shield stopped investing (understandably) after our Kenyan farmer stole the money we paid him and disappeared in 2022. When plants photosynthesize, they release hydrogen ions (H+), electrons, and Oxygen.
