✏️#Grammar (Lesson 8). ✅Interrogative Pronouns Interrogative pronouns are used for asking questions. They are: who, whom, which, whose, what. Consider the following sentences. - Who are you? - Who is there? - About whom are you talking?/ who are you talking about? - which do you support, English or Arabic? - Which is the book? - Whose is that coat? - Whose are those shoes? - What do you want? - What are you talking about? Distributive Pronouns Distributive pronouns refer to persons or things one at a time. They are: Each, everyone, everybody, either, neither. Examples: - Each of them has welcomed the verdict of the supreme court. - Everyone hates poverty . - Everybody loves money. -Either of the two teachers has been rescued. - Neither of the books has a cover. For this reason, they are always singular and as such followed by the verb in the singular. Either means anyone of two persons or things. Neither means not one nor the other of the two. It is the negative of either. Hence, either and neither should be used only in speaking of two persons or things. Reciprocal Pronouns Reciprocal pronouns express mutual relationships. Examples: The two students assisted each other. The people assisted one another during the floods. Note: each other shows the relationship between the two persons while one another shows the relationship between more than two. END OF The UNIT.
