تمرین جمله شرطی نوع دوم
تمرین جمله شرطی نوع دوم

جمله شرطی نوع دوم Second conditional sentences are used to talk about: a) situations which are theoretically possible but are not true I'd live in a big house by the sea if I were rich. (I'm not rich.) b) situations which are purely imaginary and will never happen If an alien stopped you in the street, what would you say? (An alien won't stop you in the street.) The second conditional is formed using would followed by the infinitive and if followed by the simple past. If I were rich, I'd live in a big house by the sea. What would you say if an alien stopped you in the street? Notice that we often use a comma between the two clauses when the first clause starts with if. We can also use were instead of was in the second conditional for the first person. If I were rich, I'd live in a big house by the sea.

(have) a long drink of water.   7. Before you….(write) any more, I….(check) it's all right.   8. When the babysitter.… (come), we.…(go) out.

شرطی نوع اول First conditional sentences are often used when we think something might or might not happen, but we think that the chance it will happen is real and likely. If he phones, please tell him I'll call back. (I expect him to call.) I'll come and meet you if I have time. (I will try to come and meet you.) I'll do it for you if I've finished my other work. (I should finish my work soon.) The first conditional is formed using will plus infinitive and is followed by the present simple or present perfect. Note that the two parts of the sentence are separated by a comma (,) when if begins the sentence. If can be substituted with: when, before, after, as soon as and until. I'll tell you about it when I come back. I'll phone before I leave. After I've done my homework, I'll clean my room. As soon as I see him, I'll tell him. I'll stay until you've finished.

have been and have gone Both have been and have gone are past participles used with the verb to go. James has been to Canada. This means that James went to Canada at some time in his life, but he's not there now. Compare this with: James has gone to Canada. This means that James went to Canada and he is still in Canada.
