Reports of a Binance Settlement (CoinDesk) According to a recent tweet by CoinDesk, Binance is apparently looking to cooperate and pay the $4B+ fine that the U.S. government is looking for. This is an astronomical sum of money and its hard to imagine that Binance is able to absorb a $4 billion capital loss like that without it impacting their operations in some capacity. When you combine that with the fact that CZ is also potentially facing criminal charges (regardless of the settlement decision by the entity, Binance), it seems appropriate to wonder how stable Binance will be in the coming days and weeks. https://x.com/CoinDesk/status/1726662508100903083?s=20

Tether Minted 4B Tokens this Past Month This is per a CoinTelegraph piece published November 13th, 2023. Apparently Tether minted exactly 4B tokens spanning back over the last month. That’s a curious total since it matches what Binance would have to pay and we know Binance is a Tether partner with the largest pool of Tether reserves. Perhaps this is nothing though. https://cointelegraph.com/news/tether-issues-4-billion-usdt-4-weeks

Binance Must Pay $4 Billion to Stop US Criminal Prosecution Consider this to effectively be the end of Binance. This report is per Bloomberg. They tend to be a solid source. Why is this the end? They either pay $4 billion which will effectively rupture their balance sheet or they get prosecuted, which will effectively shutter their business. I’d get my funds out ASAP if I were yall or they may end up in the hands of the government one way or another. Been telling people for years in this channel that Binance will finally see its day. Hopefully Binance pays because if they do, we’re all going to make out on those whistleblower report fees 🎉 🎊

Sam Altman Fired as OpenAI's CEO This one was a little surprising (to me at least). Apparently, he was fired after a 'deliberative review process' by the company's board. According to 'The Verge', he was fired after this review process, "which concluded that he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities” and that, “the board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI.” So far, there has been no greater information released concerning Sam Altman’s sudden departure from the company. Bullish for Worldcoin He just got laid off from OpenAI. So…what else does he have to work on besides WorldCoin, right? Normally such a thing should undermine trust in anything that Altman has laid hands on but…this is crypto. So highly unlikely.

Unibot Has Been Compromised If you're using Unibot or have any funds that are attached to it in any capacity, you should remove them with haste. Picked up the tip from a couple of TG channels just now. Price of the token is plummeting as we speak, so if you happen to be holding any of it then you should exit there as well.

Some of the code excerpts that I've been picking up in the interim while this has been going on

Project Launching in November Tentatively, November is when I want this project launched. Needed to take some extra time to put everything together but the markets are on their way up and we're 90% of the way done. We need to tap a little more funding, but several sources have already contacted me to inquire whether they can participate. I honestly can't blame them because we're on the precipice of making history. Truly. You can't possibly have thought that I was going to take months off from this space just to sit there and bullshit right? Hell no. I spent every single day meticulously documenting, combing through code, making commits, studying, learning, engaging etc. I've been living, sleeping, eating and breathing smart contracts and machine learning for the past 12 months damn near. And we're just about done. One man army but really there's too many thanks and props that I owe to the folks that came before me to pioneer and set the tone with their contributions to the field of Machine Learning.

New York Attorney General Sues DCG, Gemini and Genesis for Defrauding Investors Here's the whole press release - https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/2023/attorney-general-james-sues-cryptocurrency-companies-gemini-genesis-and-dcg This is fresh off the presses. New York AG Letitia James is going after Digital Currency Group, Genesis (and all affiliates) as well as Gemini for "defrauding more than 230,000 investors, including at least 29,000 New Yorkers out of more than $1 billion." It appears the source of the lawsuit stems from the now-defunct Gemini Earn program. More information can be found in the press release here.

Binance is on fire. Warning. Also, I’m back. Just about done. Thank you for your patience. Been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the additional time spent to make it all happen. Many thanks to all supporters. Now that we’re almost done we get ready to launch & have a great Christmas. 🎅🏿

Bitcoin Will Likely Start Going Crazy Just a pro-tip to anybody subscribed to this channel. If you don't understand why, give me a second to break this down. If you feel like you need to wait for that explanation, that's fine. But for those that have made the intuitive connections as to why this is an astronomical win for Grayscale and broader implications this has on the likelihood of an ETF being passed, this is the most bullish fucking piece of news that this space has received in a really long time. Sort of surprised that Bitcoin isn't already at $30k to be honest.

Grayscale Just Won Their Lawsuit Against the SEC Let's count Bitcoin in for $30k as a modest estimate. More information on this coming soo.

How SBF Being Jailed Can Impact Things 1. This looks terrible for him in terms of the overall case. It signals that he's flagrantly disregarded the courts even after various restrictions (and additional ones) were placed upon him to keep him in compliance. 2. This will hinder/cripple his ability to mount a defense significantly. Sure, he has attorneys on the outside that will continue working on his behalf. But he'll no longer have the liberty of conversing back & forth with them at whim whenever he wants. They'll have to show up and talk to him during whatever visiting hours they have at the institution he'll be housed in. 3. It looks a hell of a lot worse showing up to court in a jumpsuit vs. a clean, tailored suit. I know that seems minor but it isn't. Perception is everything. ^^ More so to that point - if you're trying to give the impression that you're a law abiding citizen that does nothing wrong then your best bet is...to be a law abiding citizen that does nothing wrong. Violating orders of the court or acting in a way that leads the court to believe you're behaving contrary to its wishes is taken seriously. SBF fucked up really hard. This was dumb. All he had to do (from the start) was shut the fuck up and let his lawyers do all the talking. But he didn't. And that ultimately has been his downfall. He (for some reason) can not shut the fuck up and now he's made his case exponentially more difficult to fight. Maybe this is the wake up call he needed. Summary/Conclusion SBF's bail has been revoked. He will be incarcerated pending trial. This seems to be (another) self-inflicted wound.

Sam Bankman-Fried Has Been Jailed This is according to early reporting by CoinDesk - https://twitter.com/CoinDesk/status/1690081275132903424

Another pool potentially affected is arbitrum’s tricrypto. Auditors and Vyper devs could not find a profitable exploit, but please exit that one

A number of pools using Vyper 0.2.15, 0.2.16 and 0.3.0 have been exploited as a result of a malfunctioning reentrancy lock related to a Vyper bug. All affected pools have been drained or white hacked and the team is assessing the situation with affected teams. The targeted pools are alETH/ETH, msETH/ETH, pETH/ETH and CRV/ETH. All remaining pools are safe and unaffected by the bug. https://twitter.com/vyperlang/status/1685692973051498497
