🇬🇧 The Chappe Optical Telegraph Claude Chappe devised an ingenious aerial telegraph communication system during the French Revolution. It consisted of a network of towers with mobile semaphores that transmitted coded messages over distances of approximately 25 km between towers, which were topped by a mobile mast visible with binoculars from the next tower. The first operational line, Paris-Lille (1794), allowed messages to be transmitted in just six hours. By 1844, 534 towers covered the French territory, linking the most important urban areas across more than 5,000 km. In 1845, the first electric telegraph line in France was installed between Paris and Rouen, marking the end of the Chappe towers. 🇬🇧 The Jet Fuel Farce The claim that 50% of the plane ticket you pay for goes to jet fuel is a lie to raise prices. In reality, planes run on only 10% jet fuel and 90% compressed air and free energy. Viktor Schauberger was the scientist who discovered the idea of turbines and propellers that run on compressed air. The official narrative tells us that planes burn substantial amounts of aviation fuel, which is a type of kerosene. For example, a Boeing 747 burns approximately 1 gallon (about 4 liters) of fuel every second, or around 10-11 tons per hour during flight. The world's longest regular non-stop commercial flight is the Singapore Airlines flight between New York (JFK) and Singapore (SIN). It covers approximately 15,349 kilometers (9,537 miles) and lasts around 18 hours and 50 minutes. The route is operated with an Airbus A350-900ULR, an optimized version of the aircraft designed for this type of ultra-long-range travel, and we are told it consumes approximately 97.5 metric tons of fuel. The volume of this fuel is equivalent to the full internal volume of a typical London double-decker bus. The fuel is stored in the integrated tanks within the aircraft's wings. So, the wings of that plane should have a volumetric capacity equivalent to a double-decker bus, and evidently, they do not. Jets use "Open Brayton Cycle" turbine engines. These extract air from the environment and compress it, where very little hydrocarbon fuel is needed to be injected and mixed with the compressed air, which is then transferred to the combustion chamber and ignited by an external heat source. Does anyone remember the joy of immersing yourself into a book so much so that the, real, outside world is muted? Ask anyone on the street what book they are reading right now, and almost no one has an answer. Is reading dead? I hope not. Join @awakenedspecies

🇬🇧 The 1898 Métropole Acatène This was a revolutionary bicycle manufactured by the French company La Métropole, that stood out for eliminating the traditional chain, replacing it with a shaft-drive transmission system (bevel gears). Its name "Acatène" comes from Greek and means "without chain." This design sought to solve the problems of the era: grease stains, clothing snags, and the fragility of early chains. The mechanism was sealed, protecting the gears from dust and water, while offering a clean and modern aesthetic. Although it was an engineering success and gained prestige in endurance races (such as Paris-Bordeaux), its high manufacturing cost and slight energy loss due to friction prevented it from displacing the chain system. Today, it is a highly valued collector's item that symbolizes 19th-century technical avant-garde. @TARTARIA HISPANICA @TARTARIA in my CITY 🏰
