Our Solve IT 2019 champions, Melkamu Tadesse and Menberu Zelke with the HM3 3D Printer, took home the championship title along with a grand prize of 100,000 ETB. Although, this device is an already existing device. It is new to the Ethiopian market, especially since it is locally produced. "This team deserved to win. Solve IT looks for innovative projects whose primary aim is to solve problems and this project does just that. Yes, it is a 3D printer. But we have to keep in mind that it is a locally produced 3D printer. This in turn solves problems of making models for student projects such as their graduation projects. Once this printer is up and running, it will be solving so many more problems. One example of a problem it will be solving is the need to import goods that can easily be manufactured or produced nationally. It is just a great addition to the Ethiopian manufacturing and education industry", states Paulos Birhanu; who's been a mentor to the team for Solve IT year 2019.

Solve IT 2019 ended on the 17th of August, 2019 with a bang.
