The US has launched strikes on Iran, one day after Tehran fired ballistic missiles at American forces. The sequence points to a direct US-Iran military exchange rather than another round of proxy pressure, with Washington moving quickly after the missile attack.
For oil and LNG, the immediate issue is not lost barrels already reported but the jump in geopolitical risk premium. A direct US-Iran confrontation raises the probability of further retaliation, tighter security posture across the Gulf, and renewed focus on shipping exposure through the Strait of Hormuz. That is the key artery for a large share of global crude exports and a critical corridor for LNG flows, so even without confirmed disruption, freight, insurance and front-end pricing sensitivity will rise.
The market signal is straightforward: absent evidence of de-escalation, crude and LNG will trade with a higher Middle East risk premium and a sharper focus on any sign of disruption to Gulf export logistics.

📌Shamdasani añadió: "Ante los ataques de los colonos israelíes y la creación de asentamientos y puestos de avanzada que han alcanzado niveles sin precedentes, los terceros Estados deben actuar con urgencia y de forma conjunta para detener los continuos asesinatos y el despojo del pueblo palestino".
