3οΈβ£ things that will decide the Market today π
1) SGX NIFTY signals a negative start for the Indian Stock Market
- Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 71 points, lower at 17,629 signalling that the Indian Stock Market is headed for a negative start.
2) Global stock market risks
- Post the Federal Bank's meeting yesterday where Jerome Powell commented easing inflation and a quarter point rate hike, the US Stock Market rejoiced and benchmark indices rose with Dow Jones up by 0.02% while NASDAQ added 2%. In Asia, indices reacted optimistically, gaining some points in their early trade.
3) Adani FPO cancelled!
- The Adani-Hindenburg feud has now led the Indian conglomerate to recall it's FPO, a decision taken by the company's board, after the stock prices of the listed entities fell more than 20% yesterday. Reports claimed that Credit Sussie, the Switzerland-based investment banking firm has alloted "zero" value to Adani Bonds, in keeping it as a collateral for margin loans.

1) Mixed reaction to Budget Allocation- On Wednesday, 1st February 2023, the Federal Government proposed the budget allocation for FY24. Reacting to the budget, the benchmark indices ended in a mix with SENSEX surging more than 100 points and NIFTY declining 45 points to end the day.
2) Adani Shares crash nearly 30% in a day!- Shares of Adani Enterprises Ltd, Gautam Adani's flagship entity crashed up to 30% on Wednesday amid reports that Credit Suisse has stopped accepting bonds of Adani companies as collateral for margin loans. Three other group companies - Adani Power, Adani Wilmar and NDTV - also hit their respective 5% lower circuits today.
3) The Union budget presented in the parliament today- Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ended the long awaited curiosity of the budget for FY24. In this budget, the Union proposed increased capex allocation, reduced income tax and presented measures and efforts to boost manufacturing industry.
