Seems this was vindicated, didn't see any CT people or just generally anyone predicting alt season after btc dumps... Everyone I saw was parroting the idea that alts would dump if btc dumps.
But again, the market showed it’s hand and eth/btc capitulated… which is now pumping all eth beta, and other alts lagging behind.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out, if the etf confirmation had been true then I can pretty confidently say we woulda had a mini alt season here. Now though the SEC will likely address the incident in the coming 24 hours. Delay/Confirmation on the table again, and the outcome is a lot more muddy. Instead of an easy to trade alt season we’re gonna have unpredictable volatility.

Wound up being the case. BTC started dumping before it was even announced that the SEC twitter account was hacked and posted a fake announcement. For the first 5-7 minutes the market believed the news was true, and the market showed it’s hand. Was sell the news as expected, played out remarkably similar to many of the FOMC announcements from during the bear market

In prior cycles, alt seasons followed BTC tops once the selling stabilized. Something to keep in mind if the etf does turn into a sell the news event. IF everything sells off after the etf AND you see alt strength at the bottom of dumps then it alts would be a good swing opportunity on leverage. Good trading is all just thinking through conditionals

Prepump before etf comfirmation; short term it's all shaping up to be a sell the news event imo. If todays price action isn't pricing it in then idk what is.
BTC loves to break significant highs/lows, do a fakeout, then go the opposite way and pump/dump. Many such prominent cases historically on the BTC chart to reference. Rn we’re a few % away from the 2022 high. If the etf confirmation comes Wednesday like everyone is speculating, I think we’ll see a pump above that 2022 high. The pump could last anywhere from an hour to a few days, pretty large variance, then imo we start seeing our first major correction of this entire trend.
Halving is a few months away though, so whatever correction we get won’t be a true top. As always though, stay fluid and don’t marry your ideas. BTC could prove me wrong, and if it does then I’ll simply adjust my strategy

Market looks pretty heavy, generally not a fan of stoplosses but nows probably the time to start using them on this trend
