The universe The universe is simply everything that contains all of the space and all of the matter and energy with in the space. The planet in which we live and it's moon, the sun, the solar system and milky way and all other galaxies are part of the universe. So is the universe infinite? If the universe is geometrically flat, then it can be infinite. If it is curved like that of Earth's surface, then it has a finite volume. Is the universe geometrically flat or curved? Current observations and researches show that the curvature of the universe is almost perfectly flat, which in turn shows that the universe is infinite. This is going to be the last post of the year. (Tomorrow is new year in Ethiopian calendar). We will try to see detail on different parts of the universe next time. Until then stay tuned. Happy new year Ethiopians. @Ethiospace21EAF

Why do stars twinkle in the night sky? The stars twinkle in the night sky because of the effects of our atmosphere (the twinkling of stars is a result of atmospheric refraction of the star light). When starlight enters our atmosphere it is affected by winds in the atmosphere and by areas with different temperatures and densities. This causes the light from the star to twinkle when seen from the ground. We can say that stars seem to twinkle because of optical illusion. @Ethiospace21EAF
