In surah Al-Falaq, ALLAH the Almighty tells us to seek refuge with ALLAH from certain things including:
_“And from the evil of the envier when he envies”._
وَمِن شَرِّ حاسِدٍ إذا حَسَد.

The Messenger صلى الله عليه وآله وصحبه وسلم said:

*And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]?*
*We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples."*
*Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals."*
*And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.*
*And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?"*
*Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient.*
*And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude."*
*And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare.*
*And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register.*

*THE PROPHETIC ADVICE*
On the authority of Abu Abbas Abdullah bin Abbas (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) who said:
One day I was behind the Prophet ﷺ ˹riding on the same mount˺ and he said,
*O young man, I shall teach you some words ˹of advice˺:*
*Be mindful of ALLĀH and ALLĀH will protect you. Be mindful of ALLĀH and you will find HIM in front of you.*
*If you ask, then ask ALLĀH ˹Alone˺; and if you seek help, then seek help from ALLĀH ˹Alone˺.*
*And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what ALLĀH had already prescribed for you.*
*And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what ALLĀH had already prescribed against you.*
*The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”*
It was related by at-Tirmidhi, who said it was a good and sound hadeeth.
Another narration, other than that of Tirmidhi, reads:
*“Be mindful of ALLĀH, and you will find HIM in front of you.*
*Recognize and acknowledge ALLĀH in times of ease and prosperity, and HE will remember you in times of adversity.*
*And know that what has passed you by ˹and you have failed to attain˺ was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by.*
*And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.”*

Shaykh Sāliḥ bin Fawzān al-Fawzān حفظه الله said:
"It is not sufficient for a person to only know the truth; rather, it is must that a person knows the truth and knows falsehood. A person should know the truth so he can act upon it. And the person should know falsehood so he can stay away from it. If a person does not know falsehood, he will fall into it and he will not know it."

*Thought For This Evening*
"I will really start praying once I'm older." "I will give sadaqa once I earn more money." We became so arrogant to think we will grow older and we will see another day. We are lucky that ALLAH is giving us another day to change. Imagine opening the eyes of your soul in your grave tomorrow. Just imagine the regret and misery just because worldly matters were more important. You bring nothing of this Dunya with you, except your deeds. Tomorrow is not promised. Start small if you are struggling, but start with your Salah. Your Salah is your only connection with ALLAH. Make sure you re-connect with your Creator again. Salah is 30 minutes of your whole day. Return to ALLAH before HE returns you to HIM. Just remember, ALLAH doesn't need you. You need ALLAH.
