I had to cut my break short to inform you of this. ALL of my mega threads in xda are currently Fucked. All my projects including floyd S7 have been affected by the recent forum change. Basically first post is there. Second post (downloads) and third post (f.a.q) and so on has lost its place and now scattered somewhere between 3000+ replies Also to add. Majority of the replies in my thread has been deleted. Search is broken. If you want to find the download links you have to scroll to the very bottom of the thread to find the first 20 or so posts made. This is ofcourse bullshit but I am in no place right now to redo and restructure all my threads. I am very busy with my university and my family that I was taking a time off. Which I will go continue now. If you want my roms. Go through the elite roms group as all the notes should point you to the right direction..I hope. Admins please take care of this Also to mention forum links that lead to other forum pages (patches and what not) are also gone. Get everything from the group. The next floyd release will come with fixed Video stabilization (EIS) at last. the bug has finally been fixed

Patch 3 has been added 3) 3rd Party call volume fix This patch is similar to the one from V4 minus some stuff, i am not sure why it is still required as 3rd party volume was resolved. but some people still face volume changing issues. This will fix the volume slider in whatsapp and so on. simply flash it in twrp Download : Github

People facing performance issues , unlocking issues and general horrible battery follow that guide and wipe dalvik-cache and cache in twrp. this is required even if you clean flashed, it will take ~30 min your phone to settle by the way

For people facing bad battery life. A recommendation i mentioned in my group (aside from boring calibration) is to charge your phone while its powered off multiple times. I.e whenever possible, charge your phone to 100 when its turned off. on oneui 2+ for some reason the battery charges from ~90 to 95% only, like there is a gap, which sometimes go as far as to 85% (system says 100% but if you charge offline it will be less than 100%) i started doing that recently and SOT on my S7 went from barley hitting 3 to hitting over 4 hours sometimes (with light usage tho) more info on the bug here https://github.com/ananjaser1211/FloydQ_Reports/issues/196 , i have not found a way to fix it yet edit : derped link

FloydRom Q V5 - OneUI 2.5 For Galaxy S7,S7 EDGE and Note 7 - Exynos Alright, Finally. This release was a bit rough due to the immense changes in 2.5 and how late firmware took to be released. I hope you enjoy this release, A LOT has been changed, and alot of bugs has been resolved both directly and indirectly Some bugs like Audio muting and overnight crash never occured under testing, so they might be resolved too, however i will not rule that unless public reviews come in. Thank you all for your patience, i am very hopeful that it will be worth it. the new camera patch is holding strong so far, and samsung decided to release NOV Patch for the Note9 today (N960FXXU6FTK1) so i have rebased to that as well. so instead of shipping with OCT, it will be NOV. i will be finalizing some stuff and hopefully release is very soon

Didn't wanna do this but looks like I need to delay the rom more. Floyd 2077 The recent camera fix worked and solved all our camera issues (green video. Not working after a while etc) But for whatever reason. Apps like Bixby vision or Google lense stopped working. This means that more apps are likely to not work. So I have to look into it. I don't know when Is the release going to happen now to be honest. So just bare with me and wait. It will drop randomly

Floyd V5 release will be delayed until tmw (was supposed to be released today). The delay is so we can test a new camera fix which needs time to validate and make sure it does not bring back the green video crap that happened in V4

Few notes about V5 regarding wireless DEX. I will keep it in the ROM in AROMA but its highly experimental and "barley" working. as you can see from the photo, the UI is incomplete. and you need an OTG connected mouse for pointing. the Dex virtual touchpad does not work. Probably none of the shortcomings will be fixed as they stem from our 16:9 display. the dex apps fail to render properly on non 18:5:9 displays. So ill keep it in the ROM since testers wanted to. but dont ask for support / fixes for it as i wont be doing any. and No, Wired DEX is not gonna be a thing.

Guess the poll was useless. I am a sucker for infinity wallpapers. So it will be a note 9 base with an option for S9 wallpapers/infinity (Demonstrated on a note 8 cuz my s7 is still on 2.1)

#DoWhatYouCant This is only a proof of concept for now. It MIGHT boot on 8890 not sure. ETA 202never . This is a dev beta only as it should be obvious. GGWP Samsung tried to suppress this from booting on legacy but yeah good luck next time

Hey everyone, hope you all doing well. this will be a long post so sit tight, This concerns users and developers who are interested in OSS (Open Source Software) and AOSP Development on Exynos CPUs Right now, the people who are leading the development on Exynos can be counted on one hand. but we are facing challenges. as to be expected. sooner or later, development will be extremally hard and almost impossible on devices that lost updates and are now EOL. the lack of any modern BSP (Board Support Package) or Drivers for any exynos platform released after 2017 makes us unable to compile new Audio, Graphics and other core blobs that are required. we are left to use closed source samsung blobs, which are already outdated on tons of models. we already faced a major challenge with graphics refusing to work properly on android R. This will slowly apply to most parts of the ROM. and affect most of the exynos chips that are newer than Exynos 8890 (S5E8890). the older the device gets, the more prone to breakage it will be. Old blobs are not always gonna work, and luck will soon run out. We are starting a massive fundraiser. lead by @stricted and the remaining Exynos Developers. We want to raise enough funds, to purchase an Exynos 850 (S5E3830) Development Board. which will open the door to the latest Samsung BSP. and allow us to compile blobs for any modern samsung device. from Exynos 8895 (S5E8895) all the way to Exynos 9820 (S5E9820) and possibly Exynos 990 (S5E9830) or newer. Full transparency. This will be done via a paypal pool, so everyone can see progress. The plan is to purchase this BSP. Due to how NDAs work, we cant just dump a private source code online. A new BSP will give us insight on modern Graphics, Audio, Video encoding/decoding and tons more. no longer do we need to rely on outdated closed source Proprietary blobs that will break eventually and render devices obsolete. Now obviously, you will look at the target and call BS. it is not cheap. and no one will drop this much money on a board.... except, they will, this has happened before in 2017. started by jesse chan, the community raised over 3000$ and bought an Exynos 8890 development board, which has made lineage possible on countless devices, including the S7, S6 and many more. We are planning to repeat that. Been seeing too many ETA requests, understandably so, I am still here, Slow development. Floyd V5 still did not enter early development, simply due to S9 not getting 2.5 yet and honestly been away from the device for a while now, no major important advancements yet. 90% of my development time is going to 8895 to get it up and running. the other 10% is mostly minor fixes to the ROM and kernel work. so nothing to write home about i do hope this month ill have a decent early build version but im not sure, you guys might have to wait for a while. the remaining bugs are the hardest to figure out. so wont give out any promises of a release in october on other development aspects, Treble is still very WIP, but still has more priority than V5. Q vendors and GSIs are a horrible mix so far. there is a significant number of bugs that need to be resolved. so will see how that goes.
