Expected move!
π Gold Market Breakdown
Gold first tapped the 4H FVG, which was sitting above the 4H IDM liquidity.
Many traders started taking long-term sell positions after the market grabbed the 4H IDM liquidity around 4363, but as I mentioned earlier, the FVG was the key area to watch.
One thing I always teach is that the market moves from higher-timeframe liquidity to lower-timeframe liquidity, and that's why 1D and 4H liquidity levels are extremely important.
If you look at the chart, most of the major 1D liquidity above had already been filled. The only significant liquidity still left unfilled was this 4H liquidity zone.
As expected, the market pushed higher, filled that remaining liquidity and the 4H FVG area, and only then delivered the move lower.
Once the liquidity objective was completed, Gold dropped aggressively, falling nearly 1,000 pips within minutes. π₯π
