The government has imposed higher taxes on F&O trading because it has effectively become a satta (speculative gambling) market, where nearly 95% of participants lose money. Except for brokers, almost no one consistently makes profits.
If someone shows screenshots of quick profits in F&O trading, do not be misled. Such traders are often in heavy overall losses, which is why they selectively display one profitable trade to attract attention.
A few traders do make money in F&O trading during bull phase, but most of them eventually lose everything—including their entire capital—during bear market phases.
Now everyone understands how a bear market works: technical charts fail, volatility is extremely high, and even strong fundamentally sound stocks correct sharply, it is unrealistic to believe that F&O traders can make profits in such conditions.
When the next bull run begins, F&O traders will again become active. However, they must remember that another bear phase will inevitably follow. That is when the market takes back all the capital.Treating both phases the same is the primary reason why traders lose their entire capital during bear markets.🚀
