Asalamu alaykum! The new semester of Dar Al Quran school hosted at Masjid Dar Al Sunnah is upon us! This program is accessible for both males and females, from ages 6+. It runs weekly, every Sunday from 10AM-12PM. Dedicated teachers are be assigned to teach and accommodate different reading capabilities from beginners to advanced levels. Some guidelines and expectations for this program are outlined: - The primary focus of this program is to teach kids and youth how to read Arabic and the Quranic text, and memorize the Quran in accordance with correct Tajweed rules. - Students must be picked up by their parents/guardians at dismissal time. No students allowed after. - All enrolled students will be evaluated on day one to determine their reading level and assign them to the right teacher accordingly. - Students will be divided by age and level of Arabic and Quranic reading ability. Additionally, previously memorized Surahs will be considered. - Students with basic understanding in reading and memorizing will be guided by experienced teachers as they further memorize the Book of Allah and review old chapters. - Parents will receive updates on their students' performance and behavior during classes through direct communication and monthly report cards. - Attendance is mandatory. If a student misses one or two unexcused classes, warnings will be issued to the parents, and they will be contacted to ensure they are informed. A third unexcused absence will result in termination for the semester without refund. - Student behaviors will also be monitored and included on the report cards. Consistent disruptive behavior and an unwillingness to listen to the teachers will result in parents being contacted to pick up their kids, and further consequences may be implemented depending on the case. - The semester starts on January 19th, 2025, and will run until May 25, 2025. - The semester costs $200 for a single child and a discounted price of $150 for any additional children. - Fees must be paid prior to the start date and are non-refundable.
