There has been a societal shift in the mentality of people regarding environmental degradation followed with aspiration to lead a sustainable life. Although this seems a dedicated approach, the adoption of such a lifestyle comes with its own challenges. However, there are feasible measures individuals could take to make their efforts towards a more sustainable life worthwhile.
One area where people who choose to live sustainably might struggle is the limited availability of eco-friendly goods and services. Sustainable habits include eating food made from natural ingredients which do not create food waste and plastic waste. Also, it means switching to public transport instead of using private cars and flying less. These are the most frequently practiced tendencies of people and can be extremely challenging to find an environmentally-friendly alternative for. Moreover, a sustainable person has the responsibility of reducing their carbon footprint by buying less and producing more, which requires time and dedication. For example, they can grow vegetable plants in their own gardens, resulting in less greenhouse emissions.
Regarding the workable approaches citizens can implement to be able to live more sustainably, they may consider changing old habits. This can range from using an eco-shopper for all purchases instead of buying a new plastic one every time, to riding bicycles or using means of public transportation such as buses and subways. While these are easier said than done, if people are really serious about environment, then they can comply. The citizens of many European countries such as the Netherlands and Germany can set a prime example for their fellow counterparts in terms of riding bikes, recycling their household refuse, and limiting their plastic usage. After all, such people are enjoying the fruits of their devotion to the sustainability of their environment, and so can other people follow-suit.
To conclude, the stumbling blocks of adopting a sustainable lifestyle appear to be seen in the limited eco-friendly options and a strong level of commitment. By breaking their old habits and following the footsteps of exemplary nations, ordinary people can also lead a greener lifestyle.

Schools should use films, computers and games instead of books.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Heavy reliance of schools on books is usually frowned upon by young children. Instead of books, thus, some suggest using modern gadgets such as computer tablets to create the possibility of learning through games and movies for children. In my opinion, this proposal is preposterous for several reasons.
One reason to explain why the idea of building computer classrooms is not smart is because this approach will turn schools into entertainment places. School pupils are still in their developing state of mind, and they are programmed to satisfy themselves through playing games. However, the planned educational element of movies and games may not be properly comprehended by immature school goers. Thus, if school teachers their incorporate lessons with these gadgets, there is a risk of turning schools into facilities where children only have fun but not obtain education.
Furthermore, despite sounding mundane, paper books used in classes provide in-depth knowledge about different disciplines. Although all of this information is not fully sustained by pupils, it will still benefit them greatly, forming their understating of the world. For example, geography, history, physics and biology school books provide excellent rudimentary knowledge about these spheres with exact accuracy. However, I do not believe that games played or movies watched though computers can quite replicate the effect of books in this regard.
In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that if books are replaced with a more entertaining method involving computers at schools, this may distort the educational nature of schools, and this method might fail to deliver comprehensive knowledge which books can.

The line graph depicts information about the population figures of 65 and over year-olds from three different countries during a century (1940-2040).
Looking from an overall perspective, all countries USA, Sweden and Japan see an increase in their respective indications of elderly populace. More specifically, USA and Sweden are more closely comparative while Japan was far below during much of the period until the final decade when its proportion is expected to overtake others.
In 1940, USA's share of 65-year-old citizens stood at around 9%, while the same for Sweden constituted 7%. Then these numbers showed a parallel increase of 6% until 2000's. Future estimates for America's elderly population illustrates a rise and fall until 2030, followed by a steep incline to 25%. Meanwhile, Swedish rate is also expected to rise to about 23%, showing the reverse of the contrast between two nations at the beginning of the period.
In regards with Japanese share, a mere 5% of the total Japanese nation consisted of senior citizens in the initial year of the period. After a slight decrease which continued until 2000, the figure recover is anticipated to recover to reach approximately 10% (doubling) in 2030. Surprisingly, the last decade of 2040 will see a dramatic growth to well over 25%.

There is no denial that youngsters are avid receivers of holidays from responsibilities such as school. However, people express mixed views as to which holiday is better, short but many or fewer but long ones. This essay will explore both sides in depth and will come to a conclusion about which holiday youth should take at the end.
Analyzing first the merits of taking short holidays more often, they give children more frequent intervals of freedom from regular their routine. For example, simple routine of going to school, which comes with various commitments such as waking up early not to be late, always carrying a bag full of stationaries and books, or also wearing mandatory uniform on a regular basis can tire children easily. So, if they take more brief holidays frequently, this will give them opportunity for rest, exploration and new experiences. Another advantage of taking short getaways for junior vacationers is that it may prevent burnout. That is, if they regularly go on vacation, they will manage to sustain their enthusiasm for learning and exploring.
Nevertheless, extended holidays offer chance for younger vacationers to be involved in more sustained activities or experiences. Often children are registered in extra-curricular activities such as drawing, volunteering and learning to play a musical instrument during their time-off, improving their imagination and creativity. Moreover, longer breaks such as Summer break or New year’s eve enable children to have a deeper level of relaxation. This can be well illustrated by family visits to faraway destinations, during which children can spend quality time with their family members and have a satisfactory mental break.
To conclude, choosing between short, many or longer, fewer holidays is indeed a dilemma as both can offer youth unique opportunities. In my belief, it should be up to the individual preferences, because I think that different people have different plans for their holidays.

International travels are no longer an unachievable dream for humanity any more as the flight prices have become increasingly affordable over the years. There is a mixture of effect, however, both positive and negative. While some feel optimistic about this development, others remain critical. Hence, the focus of this essay will be to examine both sides and explain why I believe international travel is bad.
The supporters of low-cost flights might be alluding to the opportunity for all classes in society having equal chance to travel the world. With today’s developments, even the low-class, working class and middle class can afford a place ticket to other corners of the globe. The holiday industry agencies are banking money off of packages sold in significant numbers. On the whole, this is indeed a moment to be celebrated because ordinary people can now visit places of their dreams, not just millionaires or billionaires.
However, the critics opine that readily accessible flights could mean several drawbacks. One is overpopulation of cities, like Dubai, Tokyo, Paris or New York which are flooded by flocks of immigrants from outside. This will lead to depletion of natural resources and artificial price increases, from which local people would have to suffer. Another dreadful side of this development could be that spreading of communicable disease could result in massive pandemics, such as the infamous Covid-19, which spread from human to human.
From my own perspective, the availability of cheap tickets would also mean the deterioration of ecology. The environmentalists never cease to alert us about our increasing disturbance of the environment by mentioning our habit to travel a lot, among many other factors. Statistics show that taking off and landing moments of airplanes produce significant amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into the atmosphere. Thus, I am convinced that flights bring more harm to our already compromised ecology than we could ever imagine.
In conclusion, although increase availability of international travels give all people the chance to travel to places of their interests, we should not forget about the looming negative consequences such as high prices, spread of disease and air pollution.

Nowadays, as we live in internet age, it is easy to become flooded by constant celebrity new or topics. Hence, it is proposed by some that private lives of famous people should be kept secret from public attention. The risk of bad influence on youths and lack of privacy for celebrities themselves are the two major reasons why I agree with this proposal.
To start with, young people tend to be susceptible to the side effects of following celebrities. This especially coincides with wrongdoings, stretching from not following the rules to being notorious for drinking or smoking, which are easily replicated by the immature who imitate their lifestyles. This, as a result, not only causes problems for the youngsters but also these offences may become a normal situation. For instance, many young students dropped out of university when they heard Elon Musk say in an interview that university diploma is not necessary or Robert Kiyosaki mentioning that poor people study at school. Although these role models may be providing useful advice to motivate, some people especially youth are not ready to comprehend the core meaning of it.
Additionally, a lack of privacy is becoming a huge problem throughout the world. This is happening as the number of self-proclaimed bloggers is rising, who are producing different kinds of content for their channels, vlogs and platforms on social media. One unacceptable side of this trend is that bloggers tend to over ask about celebrities’ family, salary or relationships. However, the media have the right to publish about their job-related matters or extra-curricular activities. Other than that, I believe that no media has the right to meddle into private lives of others whether they are famous or not.
To conclude, I strongly feel that the media should not cross the red line with their questions and actions to portray every single detail about celebrity life. For one, it may mislead some people, and for two it may distort their own privacy.
