High BTC Volumes but Relatively Low Volatility -BTC continues to trade around $70,000 with high volumes but low 7-day volatility of 1.4%. -There have been three other instances of 7-day volatility below 2% in the last quarter, all of which quickly led to significant volatility surges. -Based on past patterns, Bitcoin might see a bigger move in the coming days. ETH ETF 19b-4 Approvals Spur Speculation -The recent SEC approval of 19b-4 filings for ETH ETFs has significantly increased market interest in ETH. -The annualized CME ETH basis reached a 5-month high above 20%, and notional open interest surged by 50%, indicating strong speculative institutional interest. -Offshore, ETH derivatives saw a 17% increase in open interest, with neutral yields suggesting a balanced sentiment and further ETH strength ahead. ETH Well Positioned for Further Strength vs. BTC -ETH is demonstrating strong relative performance against BTC, hitting 2-month highs of 0.057 ETH/BTC. -The upcoming ETF launch is expected to drive further ETH strength, while BTC faces potential negative pressures from bankruptcy estates. -Increased ETH exposure is currently favored due to these contrasting forces. -The Mt. Gox Trustee has consolidated BTC and BCH holdings, indicating that repayments are nearing. -Creditors will receive 141,686 BTC and 142,846 BCH via Bitstamp and Kraken, with a significant portion likely to be sold. -Market reactions suggest Bitcoin Cash may underperform as these coins are released, with shorts increasing in BCH perps following wallet reactivation.

“Crypto specific” macro-driver (ETF flows) > Macro-driver (FED rate decision) June 12 is the date of the next rate decision. Inflation is sticky. Immense bullishness on crypto IF supported by ETF flows can help decrease the effects of a negative outcome. Holding rates would be good. Cutting rates is out of the question. But that can change.

SEC officially approves all spot Ethereum ETFs

The decision may come anytime soon, the pullback is healthy if we get an approval, it will wipe out bears and allow bulls to completely take over, and then it would be price discovery time, If we get a denial, the current pullback will give bears the upper hand.
