[Tech Sell Up.... Phew!] Hey Tribe, I hope you were at my last week's session where I exited ALL my tech positions. The reason again is when things are extremely uncertain, as options investors/ trader, even if it is long term options, the sharp drop may wipe out all our profits and bring us into losses. I am watching closely to the earnings announcements from Visa and MA, because these will be extremely strong indication of spending the previous quarter. Remember 1. Only enter trades with Edge! 2. [🥵 Warning from PEP's Earnings Report] Hey Tribe, Our First Bellweather company, PEPSI annouced earnings and while the earnings improved year on year, when we read further, Pepsi has given some warning signs about consumer's spending patterns. This is a sign of weakness and we may potentially see more of such reports driving the market DOWN. It is NOT Conclusive yet, but it is a lot better to be careful and personally, i will tighten stop losses. Today at 8.30pm, the big earnings announcement will be from JPM. [Only 47.79% of NYSE are above 50 Days MA] Hey Tribe 2024 had been a pretty bullish year with S&P hitting new highs. If you have not been making more than 17.48% ytd, you are better off investing in the S&P 500 ETF But that being said, the earnings season is the catalyst that either propels the market higher up OR it may cause a down turn and create the pull back Starting 11th Jul... some of the big names will be announcing their earnings and I will be looking at some key companies to look at to have an insight where the overall market is heading towards. The first big name i will be looking at starts with a J... Currently only 47% of NYSE stocks are above 50MA, at the beginning of the year there were 85% of them... this indicators a slowing down in the euphoric markets.
