And now a short series of Aesthetic images from Finnish & Estonian folklore, mostly from The Kalevala & Kalevipoeg. While there is not a lot of sun in Finnic lands, Estonia has the highest rate of blue eyes in the world (90%) and Finland has the highest rate of blonde hair in the world (80%). Indeed blue eyes and European blonde hair is currently believed to have originated around The Baltic Sea. A very aesthetic people, and water+swans feature prominently in their tales. Fun fact, when J.R.R Tolkien, the famous writer and skilled philologist, was looking for a beautiful language upon which to base High Elven, he chose Finnish.
