Explain why? 1- both sucrose and lactose are disaccharide, Only lactose gives positive reaction with benedict? Ans.Because lactose in a reducing sugar 2-in electrophoresis,pH of the buffer must be away from the isoelctric point? Ans.if the protein run with a buffer pH that is equal to the isoelectric point,it will not migrate at all it has to be above or below the isoelectric point. 3-a buffer diluted 1 to 10 times gives the same color of indicator in both solutions? Ans.because dilution does not affect the pH 4-glucose and fructose are monohexoses ,glucose is negative to selliwanof? Ans. Because it’s an aldo sugar 5-Oleic acid and stearic acid are fatty acids, but only oleic acid discharge the color of bromine water ? Ans.Oleic acid is unsaturated 6-the building block of protein are Amino acids, they give negative results with biuret test? Ans.because biuret specific for two peptide or more
