Top 10 Stocks to watch Today Wipro: The IT major reported dollar revenue of $2.78 billion for June quarter, a 2.1% sequential decline and only 0.81% better than the year-ago period. In constant currency terms, sequential growth fell 2.8%. Net income slipped 6.5% sequentially to $349.8 million, although it was up 7.8% year-on-year. Wipro has forecast revenue decline for the September quarter as well. HCL Technologies: India's third largest IT services firm is acquiring German automotive engineering services company ASAP Group for an enterprise value of about €251 million ($280 million) to push beyond IT consultancy into expertize in self-driving vehicles. HCL said that it has agreed to buy all shares of ASAP Group, which specializes in autonomous driving and e-mobility. The sale is expected to be completed in September if the deal gets regulatory approval. Delta Corp: Six of the seven clients holding large derivatives positions in Delta Corp., a gaming and casino company, closed their positions following the 11 July Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council meeting. The stock, which plunged 23% after the council decided to raise GST rates on gaming and casinos from 18% to 28%, prompted these clients to take immediate action. After they closed their positions, the Delta Corp. stock was removed from the futures and options (F&O) ban it had been subjected to on 7 July. Adani Green: The renewable energy company ramped up capacity by 43% to 8,316 MW in the June quarter. The Adani Group firm said that it added 1,750 MW of solar-wind hybrid capacity, 212 MW of solar capacity, and 554 MW wind power plants in the first quarter of FY24, taking its total operational capacity to 8,316 MW. It is now the largest renewable energy company in India, which is actively working on its net-zero target by 2050. Federal Bank: The private lender has reported an over 40% year-on-year rise in its June quarter net profit to ₹854 crore, driven by falling provisions and improving business momentum. Net interest income climbed 20% on year to ₹1,919 crore, while net interest margin was at 3.15%, down 7 basis points on year due to the rise in cost of funds. Senco Gold: The Kolkata-based jewellery retailer will list on the stock exchanges on 14 July. The issue price has been fixed at ₹317 per share. According to market observers, shares of Senco Gold Ltd were available at a premium of ₹128 per apiece in grey market on Thursday. The ₹405-crore initial public offering of Senco Gold was subscribed 73.34 times at the close. The part reserved for QIBs was subscribed 180 times. Patanjali Foods: Patanjali Foods do not plan to exercise the oversubscription option of selling an additional 2% stake after a strong response from institutional investors for its offer for sale (OFS). The total offer size will just be the base offer size, which is 7% stake the promoters initially planned to sell. The OFS of Patanjali Foods, under which the promoter Patanjali Ayurved will offload about 7%, will be available for retail investors to bid on Friday. CSB Bank: Canadian public pension fund Omers Administration Corp. has exited the private sector lender by selling its entire stake, via open market transactions, for ₹105.9 crore. Omers sold 20.89 lakh shares at an average price of ₹295.02 apiece, and 15 lakh shares at an average of ₹295 apiece. Rail Vikas Nigam: The state-owned railway company has received Letter of Award from National Highways Authority of India for rehabilitation and upgradation from four- to eight-laning of Chandikhole- Paradip section of NH-53 in Odisha on HAM mode. The project is worth ₹808.48 crore. GMR Power and Urban Infra: Has received an order from the Uttar Pradesh government for the installation and maintenance of 75.69 lakh smart meters in the state. A letter of intent has been issued to its stepdown GMR Smart Electricity Distribution Private Ltd by discoms Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (DVVNL), GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd said in a regulatory filing.

Top 10 Stocks to watch Today Tata Consultancy Services: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Ltd on Wednesday reported a 16.84% year-on-year rise in its consolidated net profit for the fiscal's first quarter ended June (Q1FY24) to ₹11,074 crore. The company had reported a profit of ₹9, 478 crore in the year-ago period. Sequentially, the consolidated net profit was down 2.8%. The IT company's consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹59,381 crores during the quarter ended June from ₹52,758 crore in Q1FY23. Sequentially, up 0.4% from ₹59,162 crore in Q4FY23. HCL Tech: HCL Technologies Ltd, India’s third largest software services exporter, reported on Wednesday a 7.6% rise from a year earlier in fiscal first-quarter net profit at ₹3,534 crore. The company posted rupee revenues of ₹26,296 crore during the June quarter, which marked a 12.1% rise from a year earlier but fell 1.2% sequentially. Revenues grew 6.3% from a year earlier in constant currency (CC) terms. HDFC Bank: On July 13, HDFC stock will be delisted and will begin trading under the name of HDFC Bank. As a result, HDFC will be removed from the stock market, and shareholders will have their shares converted to HDFC Bank. Following the conversion, shareholders of HDFC Ltd will hold a 41% stake in HDFC Bank Ltd. This transaction, which took place on April 4, 2022, is considered the largest in India's corporate history. Vedanta: Vedanta has lined up partners for semiconductor ventures, its chairman Anil Agarwal said at the 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today. The company has a number of partners and is waiting for government approvals, he said. The announcement came days after its earlier partner Foxconn decided to discontinue the partnership with Vedanta. “We will begin our historic foray in semiconductor fab and glass fab manufacturing, post government’s approval. Hindalco Industries: The board of directors of Hindalco Industries Limited has approved a proposal to sell a land parcel at Kalwa, Maharashtra, for ₹595 crore. The land parcel is located in the Kalwa MIDC area and has a total area of 12.95 acres. The sale of the land parcel is part of Hindalco's strategy to focus on its core businesses and reduce its debt. SpiceJet: SpiceJet on Wednesday said its promoter Ajay Singh will infuse ₹500 crore into the company to strengthen the airline's financial position. The fresh equity infusion will help the carrier in accessing additional credit facilities of Rs206 crore under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS), the company said in a statement. The board of SpiceJet on Wednesday considered options for raising fresh capital for the company, where Ajay Singh in order to strengthen the financial position of the company, offered to infuse ₹500 crore. Wipro: IT services firm Wipro Ltd will invest $1 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) over the next three years. The investment will help the company advance its foundation in AI, data and analytics capabilities, build new consulting capabilities and more, Wipro said in a statement on Wednesday. The company has also launched a service—Wipro ai360, an AI-first innovation ecosystem, and said it would train all of its about 250,000 employees on AI over the next 12 months. Patanjali Foods: Food and ayurvedic products firm Patanjali Foods Ltd on Wednesday said its primary promoter Patanjali Ayurved Ltd is planning to divest at least 7% of the stake for ₹2,533.9 crore via an OFS on exchanges. The OFS is aimed to help Patanjali Foods adhere to the minimum public shareholding guidelines of Sebi. An exchange filing says the OFS will involve the sale of 25.3 million shares at ₹1,000 apiece by Patanjali Ayurved. Thomas Cook India: Travel services provider Thomas Cook India on Wednesday said its UAE subsidiary DEI Holdings Limited has acquired a 50 per cent stake in 500 FT SPV Limited. Thomas Cook India did not divulge details of the quantum of investment made by DEI Holdings in 500 FT SPV Limited, a UAE-incorporated firm.

Delta Corp/Nazara Tech: The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council on Tuesday levied a 28% uniform GST on online gaming, horse racing, and casinos on the full value of the bets. In the case of online gaming, horse racing, and casinos, a vexed issue on which ministers consulted extensively, the council recommended amendments to the law to specify a 28% tax on all three categories at their full face value. ITC: ITC Ltd’s board has recommended the reappointment of Sanjiv Puri as chairman and managing director for an additional period of five years with effect from 22 July 2024. Puri will complete his current term as managing director on 21 July 2024. ITC has proposed a resolution seeking Puri’s reappointment during the company’s 112th annual general meeting to be held in August, the company said in its annual report released on Tuesday. Adani Enterprises: Adani Enterprises announced on July 11 that it has raised ₹1,250 crore through the allotment of non-convertible debentures (NCDs). “We would like to inform that the company has raised Rs. 1,250 crore today i.e. 11th July 2023 by allotment of 125,000 Secured, Unrated, Unlisted, Redeemable, Non-Convertible Debentures (“NCDs") of the face value of ₹1,00,000/- each on private placement basis," said the Adani Group's flagship firm in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges. L&T: Larsen & Toubro on Tuesday said it has signed the Master Shipyard Repair Agreement with the US Navy to further strengthen the partnership between the two countries in the defence sector. L&T's Kattupalli Shipyard, near Chennai, a major node in the Southern Defence Corridor, has been undertaking voyage repairs of the Military Sealift Command vessels, the firm said in a statement. Happiest Minds: IT services business Happiest Minds Technologies Ltd launched a ₹400 crore Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) on late Tuesday evening, a person with knowledge of the development said. The company has allowed for a ₹100 crore allotment for oversubscription, which could take the total deal size to over ₹500 crore. The QIP is being managed by Axis Capital and ICICI Securities, the person cited above said, asking to be anonymous. Zee Entertainment: The Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has reserved its order on the proposed merger between Zee Entertainment Enterprise and Sony Pictures (Culver max Entertainment), according to people familiar with the matter. The merger has so far been opposed by financial creditors like Axis Finance, IDBI Bank and JC Flower ARC, on the grounds that Zee had not paid their outstanding dues. TCS: Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) has been postponing the onboarding of several lateral hires by at least three to four months, according to a media report. The IT giant has been making lateral hires with 1.8 to 15 years of experience. All these hires had been initially facing a one-month delay in onboarding, however, according to the media report, these people are now facing at least a three-month delay in onboarding. State Bank of India: State Bank of India (SBI) today said it proposes to sell 2% stake by offloading 40 lakh shares in depository organisation NSDL. State Bank of India proposes to participate in an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of National Securities Depositories Limited (NSDL) by way of an offer for sale of up to 2% equity stake held by the Bank in NSDL (being up to 40,00,000 equity shares). L&T: Spain's Navantia and Larsen & Toubro on Monday signed a Teaming Agreement (TA) on the premises of the Spanish Embassy here, with the purpose of submission of a techno-commercial bid for the Indian Navy's prestigious P75 (India) submarine program. The agreement was signed in the presence of SN Subrahmanyan, L&T CEO & MD and Augustin Alvarez Blanco, Naval Construction Vice President, and Member of the Board- Navantia. SpiceJet: The legal battle between low-cost carrier SpiceJet and its former promoter drags on, the Maran Group have stated that there is no question of an amicable settlement with the airline. "There is no question of an amicable settlement with SpiceJet Ltd in view of the matter having reached finality by virtue of the order dated July 7, 2023, of the Honorable Supreme Court of India," a statement from Marans Group firm KAL Airways said. Tata Communications: Tata Communications will acquire the remaining 41.9% stake in eSIM company OSSE France for ₹99.3 crore, the company said on Monday. Following the transaction, which the company expects to close in about a month, Tata Communications' Singapore-based subsidiary Tata Communications International Pte (TCIPL) would acquire 100% equity shareholding in Oasis Smart SIM Europe. Nazara Technologies: Online sports platform Nazara Technologies on Monday said its board has approved raising of up to ₹750 crore through equity shares. The board, in a meeting held on Monday, also authorised the increase in share capital from ₹30 crore to ₹50 crore, according to a regulatory filing. Taylormade Renewables: Taylormade Renewables Ltd on Monday said its board has approved a proposal to migrate its equity shares from the BSE SME platform to the main board of BSE. However, the decision remains subject to necessary approvals and eligibility criteria prescribed by the BSE/SEBI, the company said in a regulatory filing. Max Ventures and Industries: Max Ventures and Industries Ltd's (MaxVIL) real estate arm Max Estates has sold properties worth ₹1,800 crore in its luxury housing project at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Dabur: Packaged consumer goods company Dabur India said demand trends in both urban and rural India reported signs of improvement in the June quarter as inflation ebbed. The company said that during the quarter, trends in both urban and rural India have shown signs of improvement. Titan: Titan Company announced on July 6 that it has registered a 20% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth with all key consumer businesses exhibiting double-digit growth for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal. The jewellery maker also said that during the quarter, it added 68 stores, including CaratLane, taking Titan's retail footprint to 2,778 stores. The company's jewellery division grew 21 per cent in the first quarter of fiscal 2023-24. Tata Steel: Domestic deliveries were the driving force for Tata Steel Limited in the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2024 (Q1 FY24) with an 18% increase in domestic volumes Y-o-Y over key segments, said the steel company in a forward-looking statement today. Provisional delivery volumes for the Indian vertical of the company stood at 4.8 million tons, an 18% Y-o-Y rise. Adani Green: Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), on Thursday, said the renewables energy firm is planning to raise up to Rs. 12,300 crore. Following a board meeting, the company said it will raise the capital via qualified institutional placement (QIP) or any other eligible securities, according to an exchange filing. NTPC: State-owned NTPC Ltd on Thursday announced the second unit of its Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar has been commissioned. The unit is 600 megawatts (MW) in capacity, NTPC said in a regulatory filing. "Unit-2 of 660 MW capacity of Stage-I (3 x 660 MW) of Barh Super Thermal Power Project in the State of Bihar, has successfully completed trial operation and consequently included in the installed capacity of NTPC Ltd," it said.
