Otterdance announcements (official)

The @OtterdanceHelp group now has a "Pic requests" topic where you can ask for photos taken of you at the event. (I've forwarded all the requests I could find in the Official Otterdance Chat group.)

There's now also a topic in the @OtterdanceHelp group where you can post your pictures and videos, whether uploaded or as social media links.

And remember, @OtterdanceHelp is a dedicated group to provide suggestions for improvements and tips and tricks. (The second one is new: tell us how your hotel was, the best parking deals, etc..) Praise can stay in the general discussion group. ;)

Great Otterdance tonight! There are some things in the lost and found: Please call Akhnaton at 020 624 3396 or write lost@akhnaton.nl if you're missing anything.

Are we excited for Saturday? 😄 Just a quick reminder: Be sure to check ns.nl to make sure your train is running as expected, and to make alternate plans if not. Get home safely!

Reminder! We'll stop selling Otterdance 4 t-shirts on Monday, 13 November at noon. Order yours today! You might not be able to get one at the event itself. (We're only ordering a few extra and will charge an extra €5.) https://store.otterdance.club (For pick-up at the event only -- none will be shipped.)

Note that we'll only have a few extra shirts to sell at the event, where they'll cost an extra €5. So be sure to pre-order if you want one.

For one week only! Pre-order the official OTTERDANCE 4 T-SHIRT at https://store.otterdance.club until Monday, 13 Nov at noon (Dutch time). Pick-up at the event only: No orders will be shipped.

There are currently nine entries on the Otterdance ticket waiting list. But remember! You can get a free ticket (plus t-shirt, plus two drinks) by becoming a volundiertje! We still need two more: Apply at https://forms.gle/5AzeCB1sizwn64LL7

Introducing our 3rd participant (and one of the winners of the pre-contest) in the Otterdance dance battle, having danced in semi-pro teams here in the Netherlands and the USA: Vanela the fox (@Vanela_01)

Stichting Otterdam needs a web designer! We're looking for a web designer/implementer to help with two websites, for Stichting Otterdam (otterdam.org) and The Otterdam Furry Arts Festival. This is a volunteer project, but a good one for the portfolio of a student or early-stage professional, as you'll be guided by an experienced developer/sysdamin (@techwolf12) and communications professional (@JackNewhorse). We're currently using WordPress but are open to other (well-supported) solutions. Please send a DM to @JackNewhorse if you're interested. This post is open until we find the right person. Thanks!

Dancers! You have until Monday at midnight to sign up for the EPIC DANCE BATTLE! That link again: https://forms.gle/HQgWu3hnF8cMphESA

Big news! Stichting Otterdam (parent organisation of Otterdance) entered a competition to receive a subsidy from Gemeente Rotterdam for an arts project... and we won! So there will be a weekend-long "Otterdam Furry Arts Festival" in Rotterdam, probably in early fall 2024. Follow us on our social channels (listed on otterdam.org) to stay informed.

Reminder that you can join the dance battle yourself via this link: https://forms.gle/HQgWu3hnF8cMphESA !

Introducing the second participant in the dance battle: Truffel the Wusky! See them dance at https://youtu.be/sjhIghx1O9E

Introducing the first contestant of the Otterdance 4 Dance Battle: Haske Colliefox (@HaskeColliefox)!

This is an official Otterdance event that @CryptCryzzler is kindly managing. 🙂 Contact them with any questions. (But use the form to apply.)

Hello all dancing floofs that are attending Otterdance 4! At this Otterdance there will be a special event: A six-contestant dance battle! Four dancers have been invited but you could be one of the remaining two. To be considered for the battle: 1. Shoot a video of you doing your best moves! 2. Fill in this short form with your prefered name, Telegram name and of course the video you've made. (You can send a link instead if it's online.) It's that easy! The deadline is the 30th of October (until 23:59) so you will have a full week to send in your entry! From all entries I will pick two floofs to participate in the battle. I am looking forward to seeing all the amazing entries!

Tickets for Otterdance 4 are SOLD OUT! There are still ways to attend if you missed your chance: * We still need a few volundiertjes and so have left the application form open at https://forms.gle/GYukWChVScSFwJmz6. Only two hours of help for free entry, two drinks, and the Otterdance 4 t-shirt. (We especially need help checking bags and coats. No running around, and you meet everybody as they come and go.) * You can sign up for the waiting list at https://tickets.otterdam.org/otterdam/amsterdance/ . If a ticket becomes available, the person at the top of the list has 48 hours to buy it before it moves onto the next person.

If you (or any of your friends) are thinking of volunteering, please do so today! Only two hours of help for free entry, two drinks, and the Otterdance 4 t-shirt. https://forms.gle/GYukWChVScSFwJmz6
