đ° Five bilateral Army exercises under way:
⢠The Indian Army is currently engaged in bilateral exercises with five countries under way both inside and outside the country meant to improve interoperability.
⢠The 18th edition of India-U.S. Army exercise âYudh Abhyasâ which is under way at Auli in Uttarakhand
⢠Other ongoing exercises are âExercise Austra Hindâ with Australia at Mahajan field firing ranges in Rajasthan from November 28 to December 11.
⢠âExercise Agni Warriorâ with Singapore at Deolali from November 13 to December 3.
⢠The outgoing exercises are âExercise Harimau Shaktiâ with Malaysia from November 28 to December 12.
⢠âExercise Garuda Shaktiâ with Indonesia, between Special Forces began on November 21.
⢠âExercise KazIndâ with Kazakhstan is scheduled in mid-December.

đĄď¸ Exercise "Austra Hind 2022":
⢠Exercises "Austra Hind 2022" is a bilateral training exercise between armies of India and Australia. It starts today (November, 28) in Rajasthan.
⢠The aim of the exercise is to build positive military relations, imbibe each other's best practices and promote the ability to operate together while undertaking multi-domain operations in semi-desert terrain under a UN peace enforcement mandate.

â Mangarh Dham was declared National Monument:
⢠Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 1, 2022, declared Mangarh Dham as a National Monument in the Banswara District of Rajasthan.
⢠The dham, a memorial for around 1,500 tribals massacred by the British army in 1913, is located in the Banswara district of Rajasthan.
⢠During the freedom struggle, the people of Bhil community and other tribes engaged in a long stand-off with British officials, when more than 1.5 lakh Bhils rallied at Mangarh Hill in November, 1913 under the leadership of Shri Govind Guru.
⢠The britishers opened fire at the gathering. Appoximately, 1500 tribals were martyred in this Mangarh Massacre.

â Loss and Damage Fund:
⢠Delegates at the U.N.âs climate conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt thrashed out an agreement on 20th November to establish a âLoss and Damagesâ fund to compensate the most vulnerable countries for damages from climate-linked disasters.
⢠The idea of establishing the fund comes from an understanding that the poor countries are the most impacted by extreme weather events like floods, heat waves.
⢠Developed nations have contributed the most, (nearly 92%) to greenhouse emissions blamed for the climate crisis and are therefore liable to help countries vulnerable to climate-induced changes.
⢠The idea of loss and damage came up first in 1991, when the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) made the demand. Thirty-one years, finally the COP27 session brought this one into realisation.
⢠The fund will initially receive contributions from the developed countries and other private and public sources. Other major economies can also join in to fund the initiative.
⢠However, there still is a lack of clarity on which countries will be eligible to receive funds through the financing facility that will become operational in 2023.

⢠The Constitution Day is also known as 'Samvidhan Divas'. It is celebrated on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
⢠The Constituent Assembly was the 1st Parliament of Independent India which met for the first time on 9 December 1946.
⢠The original Constitution of India was handwritten by Prem Behari Narain Raizada in a flowing italic style with beautiful calligraphy.
⢠Each page of the Constitution of India was decorated by artists from Shantiniketan including Beohaar Rammanohar Sinha & Nandalal Bose.
⢠2,000 Amendments were made to the 1st draft of the Constitution before it was finalised.
⢠The Constituent Assembly took 2 Years, 11 Months and 18 days to come up with the final draft.
⢠The Constitution of India was adopted on November 26, 1949.
⢠The Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950 and hence India celebrates its Republic Day on 26th January every year.

⢠âNational Milk Dayâ is observed on November 26th every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Dr. Verghese Kurien.
⢠He is called as the âFather of the White Revolution in Indiaâ.
⢠He is also known as the "Milkman of India".
⢠Dr. Varghese Kurien was awarded Padma Shri in 1965, Padma Bhushan in 1966, Krishi Ratna in 1986, and Padma Vibhushan in 1999.
⢠The Government of India initiated "Operation Flood" in 1970. It is also known as the "White Revolution" with a motive of increasing milk production to make the country one of the largest producers of milk in the world.
⢠Currently, India is the largest milk producer. India produces milk worth âš8.5 lakh crore annually, more than the turnover of wheat and rice.
