Indiaâs Most Fearless Series-2: Itâs True, Heroes Walks Among Us
Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh
This book is the second installment of Braveheartâs stories. I was elated to read about stories of the heroes who are as common as us but their work is as different as fire and water. Itâs their story that walks among us but has done extraordinary things in their life. This book starts with a detailed explanation of the Balakot airstrike in response to the Pulwama attack on 14 February 2019. Itâs the book that will tell you the tales of the valor of our Braveheartâs in a very conceptualized manner.
Every chapter of this book will have something to teach you about their experience, to stand tall in your adversaries and have the strength to tall in your decisions. I have selected five chapters from my side to know how they were so different from others and were extraordinary.

The Army major who led the legendary September 2016 surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC; a soldier who killed 11 terrorists in 10 days; a Navy officer who sailed into a treacherous port to rescue hundreds from an exploding war; a bleeding Air Force pilot who found himself flying a jet that had become a screaming fireball . . . Their own accounts, or of those who were with them in their final moments. India's Most Fearless covers fourteen true stories of extraordinary courage and fearlessness, providing a glimpse into the kind of heroism our soldiers display in unthinkably hostile conditions and under grave provocation.
The Arthashastra
Kautilya, L.N. Rangarajan
An extraordinary detailed manual on statecraft and the science of living by one of classical India's greatest minds; Kautilya; also known as Chanakya and Vishnugupta; wrote the Arthashastra not later than 150 AD though the date has not been conclusively established. Legend has it that he was either a Brahmin from Kerala or from north India; however; it is certain that Kautilya was the man who destroyed the Nanda dynasty and installed Chandragupta Maurya as the King of Magadha. A master strategist who was well-versed in the Vedas and adept at creating intrigues and devising political stratagems; Kautilya's genius is reflected in his Arthashastra which is the most comprehensive treatise of statecraft of classical times. The text contains fifteen books which cover numerous topics viz.; the King; a complete code of law; foreign policy; secret and occult practices and so on. The Arthashastra is written mainly in prose but also incorporates 380 shlokas.
