(From here various links are there for information). Q1: What about premium amount to be paid? Ans:- The nomination window stays open for around 2+ weeks. When the nomination window is open, the premium amount to be paid will be visible while selecting the plan. For paying the premium amount, options for paying at once or paying in some fixed installments will be there. If installment option is chosen, amount will be deducted from salary for chosen no.of installment months. If paying at once is chosen, available options will be shown by proceeding further. Q2: What plan can be chosen for parents? Ans:- Any one plan from all the available plans under EFHIP can be chosen. Higher the plan, higher the premium amount to be paid.
