Hi Folks,
Apologies that I couldn't communicate to this earlier. Deadline is Feb 7, 5 PM.
A few of my friends from IITB, McKinsey and Wharton are working on the most innovative AI powered remote talent cloud (Talentz.ai) that helps candidates with not upskilling but also in getting placed across global MNCs and startups.
In the first cohort, they are starting with NIT/IITs/Ex-IT/Analytics folks. They have seen massive response over the past days and based on my request they have extended the deadline till today 5 PM.
Please fill the form at the earliest if it is of interest to you!

Reminds me of last year case When I filed case against upsc for postponement of Prelims! Costed me a week before prelims and a lot o efforts, we even lost the case. But it was all worth it!

A very good opportunity for aspirants who appeared in CSE 2020 Interviews
I have heard excellent reviews of the Organization and the job profile. IFSCA is a statutory body established in 2019.
Definitely apply if you are eligible.
Strategy for Forestry Optional [ UPSC IFS Exam]
Marks: 131+137 = 268 [Highest in any optional in IFS 2020 exam]
First attempt with IFS Forestry
Preparation Time: 15 days
Study Material: Manikandan + Hornbill Notes for PYQ-topic mapping.
Test Series: None
Video Lecture: None
5 Things that worked in my favour
Will be writing detailed post on these factors
1. Brainstorming Forestry PYQs
2. Extensive use of Mnemonics and Memory tricks
3. Topic listing and Template based answer writing.
4. Short and concise notes for last minute revision Example 1
5. Dedicated mentorship of last year IFS toppers (AIR 2 Lavish and AIR 5 Vishal)
Things that one should avoid
1. Joining any coaching institute- Initially, I was planning to join an institute but after hearing feedback from my friends decided against it. Also, i went through their sample videos and find them to be of no use at all. Faculty teaches like a university teacher without looking at PYQs. Avoid it at any cost
2. Reading multiple books for one topic - Sure shot recipe for disaster. It doesn't matter how much you are studying. The only thing that matters is how much you can recall in the exam.
SEBI notification update:
Good news for aspirants:
Recruitment has been planned and vacancies are being finalized. Notification will be released soon.
Vacancies : 124 vacancies finalized till now (may increase in notification)
Tentative dates:
Notification in January 2022.
Prelims in March
Final joining in July/Aug 2022.
Good luck to everyone 😊
Use of Mnemonics and Templates in Theoretical Papers
I used mnemonics and templates in all theoretical papers in both CSE and IFS. This helped me in securing highest marks in forestry as well as one of the highest marks in English, GK, Ethics, Essay etc.
These papers are usually very lengthy in paper and it doesn't matter how much you have studies if you can't write a decent answer in 7-8 minutes. These templates and mnemonics are very helpful in such cases.
Please give me some time, I'll be structuring my notes and will be uploading on the channel.
Forestry Strategy
Hi Folks,
Getting a lot of queries regarding forestry optional strategy. Apologies if I failed to address them on an individual basis. I'll be sharing my complete strategy here (@gouravs_com) and gouravs.com
Those who are preparing for CSE Mains 2022, don't worry. This is an optional that can be done in 15-20 days, provided you have guidance.
Lavish Ordia (AIR 2, IFS 2019) was of great help throughout the journey. He scored highest in forestry in 2019 and his tips helped me in scoring the highest marks too.
IFS 2020 Marksheet (AIR 41)
Highest Optional marks (Forestry) - 270
Also, lowest optional marks (Maths) - 150
Highest (or second highest) in GK and English (Till now)
